I don't see how this would impede performance. You're just paying more for your tires for the convenience of not having to have your car towed or being stuck in the middle of nowhere at 3 in the morning!

You are correct! I checked my tires and they aren't RFT, I guess you shouldn't believe everything the SA tells you. Go figure!

When I needed a tow the closest (and worse) dealer was 4 miles away. The dealer I bought the car from was 35 miles away. They said that wasnt a problem as it was a reasonable distance.

On another note, they also gave me right of refusal when the flat bed showed up. I sent the first two away and went with the third guy. Granted the car was in my driveway, so I had the time to choose a towing company, but it was nice of them to allow me the choice.

They will usually work with you on location if it's reasonable. But you're then somewhat forced to buy tires from the dealer which is more expensive and troublesome if you're not running an OEM tire.
