Hey guys,

I decided to install Euro mirrors today, and took some pictures.

With EU mirror glass the " blind spot " is not blind anymore because the outer portion of the glass is curved a helps to see things better.

Big props to Andrew(phattbam) for supplying me with euro mirror glass !

This is the only one tool that you need

1. You need to adjust your mirror all the way to the right on one side and to the left on the other so you have a gap there to put you prying tool.

2. Press on the glass with a very light pressure and it should pop right off ...

3. Disconnect the power and this should be it

4. Clean the inside of the housing and snap in your new Euro mirror glass.

Very Nice Aleks!

Does it also have auto-dimming/heating features?

Yes, these ones have all those options ...

First time I bought the wrong set that didn't have those options so I had to send them back to Germany ...
I did this on my old A6 and STi - loved it. Perhaps I will need to revisit on the M.

Thanks! That blind spot is one of my irritations.

What's the number on that removal tool? Don't see it on their website.

not sure what is the number ... my shop ordered me a set (4 or 5 tools in there ) for $25 or something like that ...

If you want one I can ask them to get it and will ship it to you ...

I've been using them for a year and very glad that I got them ...

Sure, or just a part number or description of the set. I looked though the BMW tools on the Sir Tool website but didn't see it. Thanks.

Never mind, found it: http://www.sirtools.com/page_4-12.pdf.
I had those euro wide angle mirrors on my E46M3. I loved them.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you have to pay to get those 2 heated/auto-dim wide angle euro mirrors? and.. is there anyway to buy one more set?

Why do you need two? The right mirror is already wide angle.

I don't think so ... Both LT and RT euro glasses are different from the us ones ...

I got them from a friend of mine and he got them directly form Europe with his M3 mirrors ...

But I am trying to get some of those form my buddy from Germany

Well, the right may be a different number, but the US one is already convex, so I'm not sure why it would need replacing. I have no complaints about the right mirror.
