johnhk79 wroteI have no idea. She already exchanged it twice already. I haven't talked to her in a while. I should ask does that CSL trunk finally fit. Then something is wrong with her since a ton of people on the forums ran into very little issues in comparison to the Vorsteiner version.

ray and jon both have the seibon. they didn't run into any crazy issues aside from drilling all the sh!t yourself.
vorsteiner is pretty bad too. i still don't have the rubber seal around my trunk lock to this day, and my trunk doesn't pop open for some reason even after connecting and reconnecting the wires again. i didn't have the sliding issues or the water leak issues that others had though.. but i got mine a couples years after it was released.
my guess is the vorsteiner is a hair better.. i can only assume that the vis/seibon version is just a vorsteiner replica.. they both have gap issues in the same spots.. haha

I heard from Fern in order for the lock mechanism to fit properly and all that you need to cut the area out and then epoxy it back on. Pretty fail if you ask me.
It is sad Vorsteiner can't make a better fitment product from molding off the original CSL trunk. However, VIS/Seibon can make a direct replica of Vorsteiner with all its fitment problems and what not. People wanted a Vorsteiner replica, I think VIS/Seibon answered their prayers.
HighBoostin330 wrotei'm absolutely speechless... soooo much can be said about this photo. i can't decide what to say.So I was going through pictures of the BBQ my friends were doing, and I found this picture.
i'll just say:

It goes back to the original position after cooling down... wtf... is this normal? My guess is the 3M tape got soften with all the exhaust heat etc...

endofanera7 wroteI think the heat is expanding the 3M tape because it seems to be made of a foam like material. So when it cools it should contract again. Does your diffuser have the groove for the 3M tape or does it just stick on top of the flat surface?Hey funny thing about my diffuser... after a long drive, the diffuser looks like it's coming off the bumper...other words, the gaps become much bigger...

HighBoostin330 wroteit just stick on top of a flat surface that attached to the bottom of the rear bumper.... Maybe I need to redo the diffuser with a better 3M tape or even with epoxy... but dont wanna sacrifice my bumper...I think the heat is expanding the 3M tape because it seems to be made of a foam like material. HighBoostin330 wrotemaybe next year sometime... first up is your seats...Upgrade!
endofanera7 wroteTheir new products have a groove that you can put the 3M tape on so it is flush with the surface that contacts the bumper. It greatly reduces the visible gap.it just stick on top of a flat surface that attached to the bottom of the rear bumper.... HighBoostin330 wrotemine didn't have a groove & it's newTheir new products have a groove that you can put the 3M tape on so it is flush with the surface that contacts the bumper. It greatly reduces the visible gap.
