Hi all,

I Just picked up my M3 a few weeks ago (1 previous owner) and im extremely pleased with it, excellent in (practically) every way, and turns alot of heads!

One small problem ive noticed is that theres is a small creak or scratch 'feeling' as i push down the clutch pedal (about half way down.)

....i was just wondering has anyone else had this? or is it just some grit or something?

Whats the best solution for it?

Thanks,
Aj
mine is smooth
mine is smooth as well. you should try and taking it in to the dealer.. just for safe measure.

thanks for the replies...
...im still having a little bit of trouble with this unfortunately. its been back to the dealers twice but the clutch is still noticble every time i release it. ie a feeling that there is creak in the spring (id say id liken it to the annoyance of walking with a stone in your shoe!!). the dealer has told me that they are waiting for another m3 to come in so that they can compare it to see if its 'a characteristic' of the m3 pedal!!

can anyone tell me how many springs there are in the pedal mechanism? i wonder if the mod mentioned here: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169384&highlight=clutch will help- any thoughts?
Here is a diagram of the manual pedal assembly, if that helps:
