One of my best friends, and co-founder of Angles Studios!
He helped me source my e92 back in 2022!

Thank you! I’ve got a longer trip coming up in a few weeks. I’m excited to put the tent to work again.

At first I thought for sure it was a photoshop job gone well. But then I realized it's real. That's a nice setup. Do you put boards on the floor to keep it form while sleeping... ? (no pun intended)

Thank you. Above the aluminum frame and inside the tent there’s about 2.5” of padding. I then added a 1.5” foam topper to make it more comfortable. I sleep rather well in there.

You are my spirit animal.............

Incredible.
Goin' for beach ride...decided to mount up M3 instead of Raptor

Mother needed to move my M3 out of the way, since I took our 1968 Ford Galaxie XL convertible out for the day.

This was the terror I came home to........ I wish I had pictures of what it looked like when I first parked on the other side of the car. I had to build up the courage to walk to the other side of the car.

Quick reminder to everyone. Someone may be able to drive your car, but that doesn't mean they are able to park it.

Didn't even know there was a CS "diff" coding that was possible. Was aware of the trans & EPS settings though. Tell me more.

For the G80?
Yes, you can code transmission, suspension and differential. I also have the engine coding, but it is based off the M2CS, not the M3CS. You can also code CLS transmission, but I found it too “clunky” for me (although sometimes I miss the downshifts… but then I just get in my e92!)

I have the pre-LCI G80, so a more noticeable HP increase (the M2CS basically has the same HP/TQ figures as the LCI G80 M3 comp xDrive), but the bigger difference is the throttle responsiveness, lack of lag, and even a totally different engine note…

For coding, I work with AlpineMSS. Alex has been great explaining the different codes, etc., and he can work remotely: https://alpinemss.com
some pics i took with my buddy who has a g80.

It was interesting, the gearing is basically exactly the same between the two cars. We both took the time to appreciate the differences.

He said he liked how heavy and analog everything felt. His g80 was fun but in a different way. While the powerband isnt linear, it was more linear than you'd think, stock.

My G80 is my daily and it has all of the creature comforts and tech I need, and is ballistic in a straight line… you are right about the gearing, which is interesting. I think BMW really tried to make it feel more NA rather than TT.

But I appreciate the e92 more and more every time I take her out - I do love the steering feel and the exhaust and DCT are both intoxicating. And it has just enough tech + the looks are truly timeless. I’ve had multiple non-car random people ask if it is the new model.

For my purposes, the best 2-M garage! I had an F80 and F82 before my G80 (and before I purchased my e92), and the G80 does everything better (other than DCT). I do want a manual e46 at some point, though!

Yup. I used to honestly hate on G80s, esp the styling in the front but i think its a fun car to drive. E92 is still cooler in every way in my personal opinion.
Noone believes me when I tell them its an 18 year old car. I even had someone ask me if it's an M4 one time.

I personally don't care for all of the attention, but i still think this car flies under the radar for the most part which is good.

Couldn't be happier with it, and I never wanna let it go.

I don't know, it came with the car. It's custom made though I think.
