The TIS torque spec. for the spark plugs in the S65 is 23 Nm (17 ft-lbs). Some official docs allow for a slight tolerance range of 23 ± 3 Nm.

Those are always such a beast to deal with and even with a half turn past snug like the box says, it doesn’t feel tight enough

Yeah it's such a pain~ I usually just go hand tight and 1/4 turn which gets close but, I might have not really gone 1/4 turn lol.

As mentioned above, I didn't go limp this morning :^)

I might have to swing by the shop and borrow 10x extensions and a smaller TQ wrench.

Upon inspection the driver's side unit was indeed cracked though the passenger side in tank unit was okay (dry). The local BMW Dealership replaced both in tank units and agreed to match the FCP Euro parts price.

I liked the Infinity Design intake, and I thought their plenum was also great. I appreciated the idea of versatility, such as changing out the cover in the future or using shorter internal tubes/stacks.

Oh, and everyone has an Eventuri, but not many people have an Infinity Design=)

Nice. I recently purchased Left and Right units from FCP, plan to replace them in the next couple weeks preventatively. Your story makes me feel like I am less paranoid hahaha. I am a believer that these and fuel injectors are just a 100k mile service item on these cars. Too many injector failure stories out there

That looks fantastic. I dont like most plenums because they look too "modded" compared to the eventuri. How does this sound? Was shipping quick or are they made to order?

Oh and what I noticed intake and sound out of plenum more high pitch and loud compared to Eventuri which is more bassy and deeper, on tight roads or tunnels Infinity Design sounds amazing at high Rpms, I have Corsa exhaust, before it sounded exhaust note coming from back of the car and sound of exhaust used to over take intake and plenum sound, now it feels all the sound coming from front and on open roads feels more even all around exhaust and intake note!

Replaced the plugs. Only had just under 20k miles on them but looked ready to go and feel silky smooth with new (+ obviously twice as fast). Supricingly all 8 where kind of lose (tighten 23nm 6y ago) so increased torque a tad, want them to sit tight. Good old hangman's sorted the coils....

Replaced filter and intake tube while bonnet was open. The tube had developed worn and a small crack. Will also look nice with the Eventuri plenum once arrives (10w LT though...)
