Looking for recs on how to sell my built E92.

For context:

Jerez, 73k miles, double hump, sunroof.

Add ons:

BBS FI-R
Ohlins R/T coilovers
Akra Evo full titanium exhaust
ESS 625 kit

I am going to look for about $45k on it. Am I better off posting on M3 list etc or BAT/Cars+Bids with a reserve I am comfortable with. ✌🏻
BAT, but you must have all your receipts. You must have great photos and videos.
There cant be any weird gaps of time on the cars history. And hopefully no accidents.

Lots of good results for e92 m3 lately. I think its crazy. In collector cars black is usually least desirable and people are getting paid. I was shocked on that 65k sale with the cheap valve exhaust on a black/black car. Another black car with trash vmr wheels looks like its gong to get a healthy number as well here next week. I think its crazy. Lime rock, or some individual options yess sure. But wow. Those are super nice craigslist cars imho.

Cars and bids sometimes gives good results. I used it for cheaper cars. I hate the audience that doug attracts. Its stupid teenagers asking why you are selling and dumb questions think they know how to vet a car. I think there is a lot of ai comments. Lots of dealers buy there. I would be careful there. The staff there was much better in bat. I just hate the comments there.

Any other way you sell it that doesnt force bidders to act, be prepared to wait a long time. I follow a lot of cars, not much moves unless its priced right (realistically) . Just putting it out there online with a price tag. Its hard to get people to bite unless its elite. Auctions force action. Also, they wont let you set a reserve. Unless you are a dealer they use a lot reserve whatever they tell you it is. The times i asked for reserves they were so ridiculous low that i ended up no reserve anyways.
I don’t think modified cars do well on BaT, and be careful anchoring on the headline results there — those were museum grade bone stock cars. Standard advice for modified cars is that you’ll do better by reverting back to stock and selling separately.

What did you end up doing?
Driving it lmao. I fucking love the car so much everytime I’m in it is like a scene from wolf of Wall Street “I’m not fuckin leaving!” 😂

I will enjoy it for summer and sell it towards end of summer. I need a work car that can handle winter so it’ll have to go in a few months.

But my plan is to post on M3 list etc and if no sale I’ll auction it.
Winter tires and keep enjoying the car.

Just buy a winter beater. It'll make you enjoy the car more in summer. I daily a diesel truck so on the weekends the M3 is more fun than when I had one as a daily.
At 45k? nah. lol.

this is a bit miss leading imo.. not as close to built as I was expecting from the title. it's just a basic mods with a blower.

I have seen a few actual built track spec E9X M3 sell for 35K-45k in the last 2 years..

realistically I would say 35k is your max..

Jerez is as really hated color, so that doesn't help.
Over the last two years? The market got insanely hot on E90/E92 very recently. Those cars from two years ago are worth 5-7k more now. From one year ago E9X prices are up about 5k let alone two years lol.

sorry man, that just isn't true for the average car. see here https://bringatrailer.com/bmw/e90-e92-m3/?search=sedan
I’m driving right now so I just took a glance. Did you just post a link for an auction that ends in 5 days? What do you think you accomplished by doing that? That looked bone stock I bet it gets over $35k when the auction finishes. The auction just started lmao.

lolok. don't text and drive ;)

scroll down, i posted a link to the sales history for all E90s over the last 5 years that shows no upward trend whatsoever, but given how you seem to have convinced yourself that you're driving a unicorn, i'm out. have fun don't crash.
When did I say I had a unicorn? The post was literally just asking how to sell the car. My username is fucking “wifespecE92. I know what I have lol. Never asked anyone to value it. I’ll find out what it’s worth when I sell I’ll circle back. You’ll hear from me again.

You won't be getting anywhere near $45k for the specs on your vehicle. You are better off selling the full Akra and SC, then listing the car to get even anywhere close to that.

You asked us, don't get upset when you get realistic answer from people who don't have to ask others what their car is worth.

I don't think you mentioned what year the car is? Sell the used parts here on the forum. Return the car back to stock. Sell the car on BAT/Cars & Bids with a reserve.
Return to stock and sell the parts
What would you roughly value the parts at sold individually?

BBS FI-R wheels. Akra Evo full tit exhaust. ESS 625 kit.

Any rough ideas?

Good for you! Enjoy the car for as long as you can brother. Keep us updated when it goes up.
Not enough info on the car, but it would probably be 30-35k stock, and finding a buyer that values both your car plus your mods will be difficult. Definitely part it out and sell it.

Use the M3Post Forum Classified Advertisement thread to search for similar items and see how those same items were priced. The Link is below. You can also search eBay and Facebook as well as Reddit to study the market and gather pricing information based upon age, condition etc. Also think about what you paid for these parts and how much you would be willing to accept in cash for them. Consider shipping costs as well when estimating a selling price point.

Here's a few estimates to get you started and thinking from the Aa-Eye:
"In the used parts market for the BMW E9X M3, these premium components command high resale values, totaling roughly $15,500 to $18,500 if sold separately. Premium parts like these rarely lose more than 30% to 40% of their retail value, and in some cases, hold their value incredibly well due to high demand and inflation on new parts."
