Michelin pilot sport cup 2

Ive been using the pilot spot cup 2’s for daily usage for past 2 months, got 1 flat in one tire and a few days ago i got hole in sidewall in another tire, now tire rack says the 275/35/18 is not in stock either.

I used pilots sports 4s for past 3 years and never had any issue at all even with NYC roads. Just wondering if the compound is that diffrent that the cup 2’s cant handle regular street conditions.
Also if tire rack doesnt have the sizes in stock, where else could i find this tire, i cant find it anywhere else in this size.

Now that cup2s are 240tw, I think they're a great street tire for the performance minded person.

I ran them on my 18" e88s for a little before moving them to my E46, but they were still pretty comfy, better than my 200tw A052s which felt rock hard and picked up every pebble.

Yes ofc, the ps4s will be even more comfortable and quiet, but the tire falls apart with any real hard use. Ps4s are great for a quick romp before heat gets too high.

The older feedback you might come across about cup2s is almost all about the older 180tw version.

They come on the gt3s! GT3 feels awesome on the streets.
America’s Tire here in SoCal can get them ordered. Supposed to arrive in 4 days for install. Same size, 275/35/18.
I’m sure PS4S are the best bang for the buck but I’ve only driven them on the m359 wheels.

In times gone by they can look into "the system" to see inventory and find where in the country a 275/35R18 PSCUP 2 is located - either by warehouse or Dealer. They can then move that inventory to a Michelin Dealer nearby or arrange something else with you. It's definitely worth calling them. Other Dealers exist besides the TireRack. khanxyz0z there's another alternative if a Costco member, Sport Cup 2 in size 275/35R18 typically costs ~ $425 ea.
Although price sometimes slightly higher than others, purchases include valuable free of charge benefits.
Generally, since a high volume Michelin reseller, availability at Costco usually favorable.

They just restocked at tire rack, scopped them right now, but good to know costco has it too for future.
