Bumper Repainting Services in Los Angeles

Hi Everyone:

I am the second owner of my e92 M3, and when I purchased the car, I could tell that the front bumper had been (poorly) repainted at some point. It looks like it was repainted with non-OEM mineral white paint (or possibly even with alpine white).

It isn't so noticeable that I wanted to go through with a repaint, but I recently scuffed the side of the bumper and feel like if I am going to touch that up, it would be best to just do a repaint of the bumper with genuine OEM mineral white paint.

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for shops in the West Los Angeles or surrounding areas, and a ballpark of what this might cost.

I know there are mobile detailers/painters as well, and I am open to that as well.

Would only need the bumper done.

Classic Collision (Formerly Pride Auto Body), 10/10 would recommend as the work they did on my M3's front bumper (rock chips) and rear bumper and they were perfectly matched to the rest of the car.

Do either of you have an idea of an estimate for the work? I've heard a wide range from ~$300 - $1000+ for a bumper repaint.

I'd imagine current rates would be in the $500 - $1,000 range, I'd ring these shops up and get a direct quote from them. Last time I went through insurance (because someone backed into the front bumper and cracked my side reflector) so all it cost me was my out of pocket deductible.

ABS Autobody. No question.

DTM Autobody. I had my front bumper redone with the side markers and window washer holes shaved and repainted. Came out perfect

ABS Autobody in El Monte is a no brainer for the M community for sure.

although my 2nd alternative is ODA Autowerkz in Covina.

A good friend hooked me up with SOS Autocraft in the west LA area. Quote for a full repaint (including removing the bumper, sensors/reflectors, carbon canards, etc) would come in closer to $1800.

However, they mentioned if I brought touch up paint they’d fix any scratches and scuffs for basically free (won’t look perfect of course).

Will probably hold off on a full repaint the “right” way until I’m looking to sell the car to do this the right way, as my e92 is really my fun/weekend car and not my daily.

My euro bumper (new bumper) and prep and paint was like $1200.
