F1 2024: Mexican GP - Mexico City (Oct 27)

2024 race highlights:
So what are your predictions?

After COTA we can say that the WDC is all open again. A very disappointing weekend for McLaren and mainly Oscar Piastri and a perfect weekend for Max Verstappen.
However, Lando Norris showed very good pace in the race and if it wasn't for Charles Leclerc constantly blocking Lando, the race for P1 would've been much closer. In racetrim the McLaren might still be the stronger car; Lando was able to follow Charles in the hot turbulent air lap upon lap without overheating his tyres.
I think in Mexico, Lando might be very strong.

This is my prediction:

1. NOR
2. VER
3. PIA
4. RUS
5. LEC
6. ANT
7. HAM
8. SAI
9. TSU
10. HAD

For people who don't place predictions: please refrain from giving negative comments after the race on predictions other members have given. Nobody makes perfect predictions, and if you don't make predictions yourself, you're not showing you know better.

Thanks for posting . Great job (as usual)!
My prediction is another MAX star show and I think George may be nearly as quick and possibly Chas and LEW with a killer strat that neutralise the Mclaren threat.
Oscar will be tip toe and Lando ahead of him.
1. MAX (who else
2. RUS
3. LEC
4. TSU (at last
5. LEW
6. NOR
7. PIA
8. BEA (getting it right
9. ALO
10. STR (!

I predict whoever is P1 at the end of lap 1 wins the race.

Also I predict everybody to put pink tape on the wall ...

So OP81 says he has found some 'evidence' that he can fight MAX in the coming races himself quoting an F3 battle he had with Logan Sergeant 5 years ago to support this somewhat strange claim.
The Larens' weakness now as revealed by PIA here is qualifying and a gamble that they are able to catch up during the race with whoever is in front of them.

Pastries ? ;)

I think his big issue is this => https://www.m3post.com/forums/showpost.php?p=32409820&postcount=367

And as we know , a PU replacement is now a grid penalty...
Max and Lando fight. Max Prevails. George runs behind Lando, ahead of Piastri. Lec followed by Ham then Kimi.

max
nor
rus
pia
lec
ham
ant

Beyond that, I think Williams will have a good weekend, AM too.

Those PU's don't last long time wise,I can see from your list who has gone through their allocation of PU's and both Mclarens are on their fourth and last penalty free PU's as well as MAX together with the needed ancillaries. The Honda exhausts don't last long and MAX is on his last 7th one also.

i have a BMW exhaust he can use. it will be perfect for F1 as my exhaust sounds like a lawnmower by design.
Here goes nothing:

1. Max
2. Oscar
3. Charles
4. Lando
5. Lewis
6. Kimi
7. Carlos
8. Alex
9. Hulk
10. Georgina

Anyone ever been to the Mexico GP on here?

Planning to go next year for our anniversary and looking for insight on where to sit. I feel like we have to sit in foro sol for the atmosphere and post-race shindig, but might try to get some seats elsewhere for FP and Quali.

It will probably happen!
Weather forecast is for a temperate day (26 deg C), cloudy skies and a 10% chance of a shower.

Lower track temperatures may see reduced tyre degredation.

High altitude always messes around with aero and engine setups - it would not surprise me if we see some tactical grid drops with drivers taking new parts above quota.

My picks

1. VER
2. NOR
3. LEC
4. HAM
5. PIA
6. RUS
7. SAI
8. ALO
9. HAD
10. ALB
