I just wanted to take a minute to give credit where it’s due, huge shoutout to the team at BPM Sport for their tuning work on the E9X platform.
After running my M3 with a catless Valvetronic Designs straight pipe for about a year untuned, I finally decided to get it properly dialed in. I went with BPM’s Stage 2 tune, 93 octane, and the difference is night and day.
The car feels incredibly refined now, throttle response is sharper, mid-range power is stronger, and the top-end pull is unbelievably smooth all the way to 8,600 rpm. Cold starts are clean, idle is stable, and it honestly drives like a completely different machine. Everything about it feels cohesive and balanced now.

Wanted to share my experience since some people could be undecided on a tune.

Massive thanks to Mike and the BPM crew for continuing to support this platform with quality tuning.:thumsup:
Back in 2016, I installed the bpm/Sport Stage II package with test pipes on my pure stock 2013 M3. Durning the past nine years, the car has covered 105,000 miles.
The experience has met all expectations. The car's character was completely transformed. The exhaust note is just perfect. Most noticeable for my driving style is the mid-range torque improvement. In 2020 I had to re-install the factory tune in the process of a very difficult broken valve spring diagnosis. Afterward, I was able to re-install the BPM tune and I was back in business in 30 minutes.
Now my question is "Why did I wait 150,000 miles before installing the Autosolutions SSK shifter."

Look for me in the mountains of western NC in the e92 M3 with the bpm stickers.

That’s my next move, the auto solutions SSK
Would echo my full support for BPM. I am only 5k miles in to the tune but have done a few lengthy track days (NJMP / Poconos). Car ran brilliantly smooth and I have had zero issues with it. Glad I sprung for this tune vs others.

Couple notes:
1) their software requires you to run Windows or a virtual machine on a Mac. However, in my case, make sure the Mac has an intel processor (it doesn’t work with the modern Apple silicon processors). Reason is that Apple silicon can’t run x86 programs even in a VM.
2) even if you don’t think you need the cold-start delete for Akra, try it. I am very glad I did…
3) Mike was very helpful, great guy.

My tune: 93 octane tune with Akrapovic.
My BPM Stage 2 has been in the car for 10 years nearly 100k kms and not a single issue. It's the only non-custom tune I will recommend. I don't understand when some people cheap out on engine tunes and put their S65 at risk.

Wow 10 years, that’s amazing
I started working with Mike before he opened BPMsport. In 2010, I changed my AA stage II tune on my ‘09 e92 M3 to Mike’s stage II tune with an 8600 rpm raised redline which was a great match with my 3.62 FD DCT LSD. I then installed his now-official BPMsport stage II tune with an 8600 rpm raised redline on my’12 e92 M3. I’ve had zero issues with both tunes and the tunes have been aggressively tested on street and track.

Concur 100% with similar lengthy, very favorable experiences with BPM - - IMO of key importance, BPM customer service & support.
Began with e39 M5 coding, circa 2005, a time when DIY was unattainable for most; later with `08 e92 M3 and current `12 M3.

Performance - Reliability - Service - Results ==> Out-f'in-standing!!!
> BPM NA Stage II - World Class
> BPM SC Stage II w/ Harrop system - 'Other Worldly' 800hp King Kong; a very 'streetable' 6MT capable going from 'tame to terrifying' [in a good way :D]
Regrettable Admission - Confess "straying" with a tuner crap decision and outcomes with Alpine MSS; interested in backstory, saga see link

Side Note: Over time, a pleasure to know Mike personally as well.
Recent meet-up together enjoying our Bimmers, biers and schnitzels.

Another testimonial for BPMs sensational performance and reliability

@ThreePedalSteve regarding Autosolutions SSK, agree a game changing upgrade enjoyed daily, tracking...every where, every time driven.
Suggest considering Ultimate Clutch Pedal as it completes the 6MT driver experience with adjustable, smoother, cleaner, more predictable 3rd pedal engagement and feel.
Coupled together, certain you'll feel as if your 6MT is literally better than new.

Did you remove the cold start function for your exhaust?

Jus chimin' in...
My set up: BPM Stage II w/ cold start delete; cat-less, non- resonated
Start up, idle, normal temps all spot-on & flawless
Sounds like nothing new; only hearing good things about bpm. New to E92 world so looking forward to getting the EDC light coded out when the time comes. Glad they're local to me.

Good deal. I’ve got the Valved Sport Exhaust System (V2) SPORT Euro 6 Catted 200 Cell MIDPIPE (Dual Resonated).

I’m thinking of going with the cold start delete as my start up with valves open can be a little aggressive.

Good deal. That was my thought too.

As an FYI...
BPM Stage II is so well sorted, rarely - - I do mean rarely, does my cat-less config result in that 'unspent fuel smell' even with windows down. :party0030:
Thank you for the kind words everyone!

BPM

Alpine

FWIW, I had a Alpine tune on my NA E92 and have a BPM Tune on my SC E90 and have been very happy with both.
