Hey y’all, random thought just because I’ve been scrolling listings for about 2 weeks in some wild hopes of trading my melbourne red m3 for a space grey one.

Has the supply of E92s (F80s as well) gone down dramatically? I feel like the ones I see are now just rebuilt titles and/or alpine white or jerez black. And prices have stayed the same/increased just a tad bit since I was on the hunt for one back in 2022.

Is everyone now just holding on to their prized possessions because each BMW release (new M5 etc) scares them lol?

Or this is just in line with time.

Curious for anyone’s initial thoughts / questions
I purchased my E92 around July of last year if I remember correctly and from what I can tell prices have gone up since then on just about all E9X M3's.

I also think you're spot on with all the hybrid stuff coming out and downsizing of engines. Plus, the E9X is the last N/A non-electric power steering M3 out there. There will not be another M3 like it again.

Sports car prices tend to be higher in the summer when everyone is enjoying them, so I am interested on what the market will do in the fall/winter. Personally, I don't really think they will come down.
Probably due to a slight down turn in the market recently. Those who don't need to sell it are probably hanging onto them for now.

I guess it’s kinda crazy that there’s real data behind the push back and this is that.

Also really interesting! Didn’t think of the summer as a limiting factor.

Yeah figured the down turn would hit these cars eventually. Nothings immune
Also to note, this idea also came from the fact that I feel like M3List outrage hasn’t been a thing like it used to be lol

I don't feel like it is as bad on the E9X side, but the F80 side is absolutely insane.

45k for a car with 120k miles and no crank hub confirmation LOL
