F1 2025: Italian GP - Monza (Sept 7)

Somehow I'm thinking a shoot out for the pole between MAX and Charlie. The Larens can turn down a trifle if they think they can overtake during the race, sadly LEW with his 5 grid place drop can't hold up the pap duo a bit if he could get third on the start grid should Chas and MAX be on the front row.

Respect to LEW for that Lauda tribute, Niki basically ran Ferrari from his time with them, Ferrari and Enzo didn't have a lot of knowledge of how to make the cars competitive and his know-how was invaluable even to a clueless Enzo not knowing what to pay him even when Niki was asking for a reasonable salary so I read in his biography.

All that talk of being promoted to Red Bull scared him.

Yeah . And MAX runs a new Monza track record (!) The pole lap was 1:18.792

Just finished watching qualifying (on my phone alas...) but wow that ending was close, didn't expect that!
What a performance from Max!
Seeing most driver not able to improve on their 2nd lap and then suddenly seeing NOR get provisional pole with a tiny margin I gave up hope, but Max found just enough margin to improve his 3rd sector😁

Wow did Max show everyone that despite the car he's right there with faster ones. That's a new lap record and the fastest avg speed on any lap in F1 history. Incredible!

Ferrari as I knew were doing glory runs in practice because that's about all they're capable of. Lec again leading the way. Hopefully Lewbens Hamichello will do everything he can for #1 driver Lec tomorrow but doubt he can do much from where he is starting.

I think McLaren will still have the tire cooling advantage in the race .
McLaren is planning to do it with one pit in the race.
But the Monza GP is a long race ...
