Help: Fuel smell and drops from fuel line

I am trying to R&R my coolant thermostat and I got to the fuel line on top of the thermostat housing. (1) I noticed the white clip is broken, so I plan to get a new one but more importantly (2) when I went to slightly move the fuel line I smelled fuel and saw a couple drop from this point in the fuel line in my picture below circled in lime green.

I am wondering if this is bad and I need to get a whole new fuel line or is this normal because I flexed the fuel line some came out? Or should fuel never leak out of that line?

Definitely replace.

I just noticed something similar on the driver side when I was replacing my starter. Does it leak when the car is running? Mine does not spray or leak but when jerked around I can get a little. I’m worried about needing to replace it all as well.

You should start carrying a fire extinguisher JIC

replace the line. you dont want to take any chances with a fuel leak...

It's only going to get worse after time, how much time is the question. Should replace ASAP.

Felt a light fuel smell when I bent the line to replace the tstat. Put it back together, no issues since.

Look like i got same problem , do you guys replace fuel rails ?

i faced the same problem when doing t-stat. is this common? does it require fuel rail replacement??

Checking in here because mine did the same. No leak at all while the car is running or off with fuel pressure, just a few drops when I bent it upwards and can't seem to get it to happen again. Did you guys end up replacing yours?

I’m having the same problem after replacing my thermostat.. pushed the line up a bit to remove the thermostat and it started dripped. Then stopped when I put it back in place.. could it be because of built up pressure in the lines?

As mentioned further up; same happened to me. Has been fine in my case.

Yep. Mine did it. Replaced it with a used one that doesn’t do it. If it does it again, going to buy a new one. Seen it on multiple high mileage and old cars. Only leaks if you disturb the line. We have definitely discovered another S65 flaw! Spread the word before s65s catch on fire!
