Checking back in with updated specs. I've increased to an average of 1-2 track days per month, so I'm now at a point where I cycle tires out long before I overly wear the inner shoulders. Especially in the front with 0 toe, where to TBone's point, wear is actually less than you would expect from a high camber setup.

FWIW I run KW clubsport 2-way. 275/35r18 200TW tires on 18x10" wheels with 10mm front spacer to clear perch. Word to the wise - most wheels won't clear with a 5mm spacer, though many websites advertise using a 5mm spacer. Go with a shorty spring or buy a 10mm spacer to save yourself some fitment headaches. You'll also need more than 3' camber up front to avoid rubbing on the fender with a 10mm spacer (at least in my experience).

New alignment setup:

Front
-3.25 deg
0 toe

Rear
-2.7 deg
1/8" toe-in

I have a notebook that I keep with me to detail any "unsettling" moments, over/understeer, etc., which will allow me to tweak setup with my shop and develop individual suspension settings for each track I take the car to.
I keep reading that e9x doesn't need as much neg camber as E46 did. Probably something to do with the front subframe or having a extra pair of control arms now.

jmeenach, how did you determine to go with -3.25? The correct way to take temps across the tire surface and go to the amount of neg camber that creates an even distribution of heat across the tire.

I wonder if street/dual duty cars need more than -3?

good question, probably don't "need" that much if dual dudty. I think it Depends on which application you want it set up to perform better at, and what your definition is of a "happy medium". -3 up front is somewhat aggressive for the street but my friends who track their e90s regularly run close to -4 up front, and still commute in them a few times a week :lol:

I'm happy with -2.5 but on track I can tell a little more would be nice.

Many of my friends that track their e9x cars often actually run higher camber up front than I do. Those guys are in the 3.5-3.7 range.

While I haven't taken tire temps across the entire tread surface, the decision was made by West End because of the high level of shoulder wear I had on my front tires after 2-3 track days. The alignment was a weak point in my setup compared to the track focused suspension components, etc., so I had to up my camber considerably to increase contact patch. While my car sees dual duty, we decided against a less-aggressive setup because I run 10+ track days per year and cycle-out/wear the full tire out long before my inner shoulder wear becomes an issue. That said, the car only sees approx. 4k street miles annually.

I've only run one extended session post-alignment, but I can say my tire wear appears to be much more consistent than with my 2.6 setup. That session was at Spring Mountain, which I had never run before, so I don't yet have a true comparison, but the car felt much better in the corners than it has previously. I need to take the car back to WSIR and BRP for a full update.

FWIW the guys at West End are themselves racers and have a lot of experience with several platforms. If anyone is in SoCal, I recommend giving them a call.

I was about to ask how you got that much camber up front then noticed you mentioned camber plates lol

Rear toe might be a touch high? This is a street car I assume.

Stock dampers? How's the ride with the Dinan bits?

Purely street driven. Stock EDC non zcp dampers with zcp coding and Euro mdm. Ride quality is excellent for my needs. Comfort is more than smooth enough for bad roads. The camber plates made a big difference vs stock in terms of understeer when you would dive into corners at speed

- Nankang CRS v2, 4 days at Laguna Seca, a ccw track, temps in mid 60s, all dry days
- street driven as well since last Nov (lol the ability to daily 200tw in the "winter" in CA), maybe ~1.5k miles total
- first pic shows rollover in front right at 31-32psi hot (27 cold -> 36 after first session -> bled to 27 again -> reading 30 after pulling off after session and cooling brakes down in paddock)
- second pic shows current front right (for 1 day, used to be rear left)
- third pic shows current rear left (used to be front right for 3 days)

Comparing them seems to show that I am getting a decent bit more outer edge wear on the tire that was front right for more days. Haven't taken tire temps. Going to run them for another weekend at Thunderhill East, another CCW track - getting 6 days out of them aligns with what the shop told me. The 4 days include my first times at Laguna, so maybe I wasn't making the most of them, but glad I'm getting more life out of them than some people getting 4 days. If there's tread left after another 2 days, I'll keep running them because clearly there's more tire than skill here.

Hoping I could get some input/pointers on the following specs for street and semi-regular spirited backroads driving—Bilstein B8 w/ Swift springs and factory staggered 245/265 PS4S. Much appreciated!

Front:
Camber -2.2° (have camber plates to achieve this)
Toe 0.04° (0.08° total)
Caster 7.0°

Rear:
Camber -1.8°
Toe 0.08° (0.16° total)
