Changed motor and transmission mounts, with only 40k on this set. I didn't expect them to be this bad, but dang the car drives a lot better now with the engine connected to it. Went with stock mounts but I'm wishing I went with solid rubber ones.
Yeah, 30-40k miles seems to be the life span on the OEM mounts. Some go longer and do ok but your experience not uncommon.

I'm running poly mounts. They took some getting used to and have broken in over time - but they give the car a little more visceral feel - transmitting a faint vibration at idle to the cabin.
Got my e90 back out on the road after a time-sert repair of the rear oil pan plug with stripped threads. It was a little dicey making the repair with the pan in place and the car on jack stands, but followed the advice of others to use grease to capture aluminum flecks. You have to take caution to ensure you are drilling perpendicular to the pan which is a challenge on jack stands, to be sure - but I used a level and seemed to do ok. The device seats by flaring out the internal end of the sleeve and I think I missed that on the original install - which led my plug to not be fully seated and resulted in weeping. Once I got that addressed by running the plug in fully and torquing to 25 Nm with a digital device, everything set up perfectly.

I’m on bimmerworld group N mounts. Hopefully mine last longer. Yikes.
Power Flex engine mounts, Slon DCT pan with DO88 DCT cooler, PFC Z31 F/R BBK, Diffsonline 3.62 Diff, Karbonius CF plenum, and a long list of other goodies

Definitely recommend upgrading to the polys all around... It gets rid of rear wheel hop as well....but definitely worth it for long term ownership. imo

someone give me the quick and dirty on aftermarket pulleys
"worth it?" or not worth the hassle for minimal gains?
if you would get a pulley, which one would you get?

just posting a random Rogue Engineering pulley for attention
my OEM pulley was showing a lot of wear and I was replacing new belts and decided to go with Macht Schnell kit. Only Gain is Brand New Parts :)

Does Musway have direct replacement for the underseat subs?

Edit - yes they do.

Yes we do. Plug and play 8in replacement sub woofer. If you’re interested in replacement I can ask my dad if we can sponsor your vehicle 👍

Probably not a 100% sponsorship but maybe cover cost haha. I’d be interested to see a “before & after” thread. Would be cool to see the factory amp bypassed and have the Musway amp installed in a dedicated e92 m3. Seen it in plenty of other cars just not ours.

Ah thanks for the offer. Not ready to tear out the stock Individual system just yet.

Currently have a Musway D8, but have been debating upgrading to an M12 and maybe speaker replacements if I’m not happy with the sound quality of IA components.

I’d possibly interested in a sponsorship :D

Any affiliation with Audiotec Fischer's MATCH line up? The hardware has some visible similarities, and the Musway color/font looks the same.

Hard to imagine this is much of an upgrade, the IA speakers are supposedly top shelf. Base HiFi is another story.

I agree. With the IA/EPS, Technic himself has said the components produce excellent sound, just the factory DIRAC sound processing isn’t the best.

I’ve somewhat improved on that with the Musway D8 and am fairly content with the sound as it sits, though it only has 8 channels so I lose the center channel.

Should start a Protool thread so I can learn from you.
Much better. You will be very happy with that!

Haha, right, what I know about it so far I learned from you Redd...:D

I haven't manged to find a whole lot of specific E9xM info on the tool while presented in more detail for other platforms. So a separate thread is probably a good idea (so far haven't been let in to their FB page).

Anyways, hope to perform the DCT reset to start with and probably go EDC from there. Will report back!
