I have given this serious consideration. If you consider the weight savings it might be a good value overall. I saved 50 pounds on the exhaust (Akra) so another 50 on the battery makes a good total. Cost is super high but if it lasted as long as a regular battery I would be very willing to pop for it.

Picked it up after rod bearings. I will post more details in the dedicated bearings thread. Done at 19,9xx miles. MY 10

The weight was the primary consideration. In theory a LiFePO4 battery can last quite a bit longer and it has a nice backup jump function, but a typical AGM works just fine and is cheaper in the long run even after amortizing. It's stupid in my case since I don't track, but I'm with you on trying to save weight where I reasonably can and it does add up. There's just not much to do on these cars without sacrifice or compromise in some way, so doing what I can.

Installed a new headunit screen in my E92. The kit was plug and play and it gives me Android Auto and Apple Carplay while also retaining the original iDrive system which is only a button press away. Very happy with it.

Here's a picture of the dash dismantled, forgot to take a photo after installing the damn thing. I'll post it later today after work.

Got the m performance spoiler installed in addition to AA x pipe. Can't really post exhaust videos just yet as the car needs to be broken in but I'm loving the aesthetics of the spoiler. LCI taillights and eventuri intake getting installed soon

It was shipped from china but took 2/3 days with DHL to Australia. What's nice is this come comes as a touch screen. But just plugs directly into the existing harness and the iDrive controller works fine as well to navigate around the screen. I also reckon the screen quality is better than the original OEM one, but that's something to expect when LCD technology has progressed further since 2009.

This install was a 2 or 3 at most. The loom that was shipped with the replacement screen was super simple to connect. No wiring or electronic skills are needed for this install at all, I recommend a good trim removal tool to pull apart your dash though. My install involved having to plug in a 3.5mm aux input into the port in the centre armrest, so I pulled the centre console up to cleanly route it around the gear selector and iDrive controller. My car also had the optional phone mount installed, so that was ripped out so we could get access.

Only other tools than a trim removal set would be some torx bits to remove bolts, I think all we used was a T30 bit, but doesn't hurt having a set on hand. And a philips head screw driver.
It was a bit of pain to push the radio headunit back into place because there isn't room behind the unit for the extra loom cables for the install. After a lot of back and forth and pushing the cables out of the way, we eventually got it to slide back far enough to put the screws in.

Hows this working out for you? Im thinking of the same kit for E70 X5M with CIC. I think it'll solve the issues and requirement of Music streaming, navigation etc all in one shot.

I have one of these, excellent battery. Lasted through a New England winter in a non heated garage with no means of being charged. Battery was at 12.9V after 2 months of negative temps at night. Car started right away.

Make sure you get the bluetooth dongle too, pretty handy device. It will also check your starter motor current draw, and keep a baseline of your voltages.

have code for wheel speed sensor but it doesn't indicate which one ................
do I just visually inspect? replace all?
