Any general updates on these from anyone?
I just purchased a second-hand set of these from OG Shark's user avatarOG Shark, thank you OG! Will definitely report back after I get some track time on them.
Thought I should share some progress here, thanks again to OG Shark's user avatarOG Shark for a great deal on these, owe you buddy! Thanks also to tlrid3r's user avatartlrid3r for the insight and install tips! Great community we have.

Those ARP bolts match this piece well!

I see great progress. Soon you will be dialing the car in. Best of luck.
This seems like a rare enough product that I feel the need to share some more, finished my work yesterday with one side mostly complete.

Wow looking well done, nicely paired up with that TTX kit.
Also looking to go for a max-attack wheel/tire setup here and just grabbed some Bimmerworld TA5r's on the 20% off + free shipping sale, amazing deal there. Went with 10.5x18" et24 square and plan to run Pirelli DH 305-645/18 on them. Took a few photos comparing Strom upright spacing to OE (3 photos of OE), each setup with 10mm spacers in place.

EDIT: Forgot I had 10mm spacers installed for this test fit and photos, oops (see more below)!

How do you like the Ohlins TTX from Barry@3DM?
I ordered mine, and am waiting for his prototype camber plates this winter.
I went with 46/36 ILX, with the optional BOV upgrades on F/R, with the Swift Springs.
Is there noticably more clearance with the new part?

The TTX-TS setup is truly amazing on the street when on the street settings, it's almost like the high spring rates are masked to a degree, 784F/560R, coilover rear, and completely silent. For now I have the front paired with Ground Control street camber plates but plan to switch to 3DM camber plates when available. This setup is much more compliant than the MCS 2WNR 600/900 setup I had on my prior e92 m3. I've recently dialed everything to the track settings and am impressed with that setup as well, though no track time yet so holding my review until I have the full experience. Likely hitting the track weekend after this one and plan to post a thread on the suspension after that.

There is and you can see it in the photos above. I think it was mentioned that there is 5mm more clearance but it looks like slightly less than that from the photos, wish I had taken the measurement to know the exacts, sorry! Both sides installed now.

How is it adjusting the damper setting without top / reservoir access?

Are the 3DM camber plates unique? Maybe a clevis mount top?

It's not fun to adjust the dampers as I have to lie on the ground to do it and I think I had to jack up one side in the front to reach and see everything. Doesn't take much time though. Current plan is to adjust to track settings at home and drive like that to the track to save time once I am trackside, comfort on those settings isn't so bad. For the most part I am just adjusting low-speed comp and rebound for street vs track (for now) and that does make it easier. More on this later but they are 5-way dampers front and rear with adjustable BOV-knobs in addition to the standard 4-way adjustments.

For the 3DM plates, I don't have details yet except that I expect them to be more track focused than the Ground Control streets. Mine will not be clevis mount since my dampers are not built that way but I believe that will be an option as well.

5 way? 🤯
Testing the new suspension, OS Giken Spec S diff, and Strom Uprights at the track the next few days, pumped! Will get a report back on the uprights as soon as I can. Still feel excellent on the street with massively improved bump steer and manners in general. Oh and newly installed Powerflex engine mounts also. Culmination of a lot of work as I installed everything myself, glad to be past that stage and heading to the track, finally!
My first track weekend went extremely well! Set a new PR going CCW at my local track and this was on 15+ heat cycle RT660's and after a 10 month hiatus from any track time. The car has some serious potential now that I am just starting to tap into. In terms of the Strom uprights, the car feels very different on track with them, more front grip for sure, but I changed a heck of a lot since I was last out as well, still I would attribute most of the front end change to the uprights. The steering-to-ground-feel has improved also but that may be a combination of all mods. The bump steer correction is for sure felt, street and track, and that alone plus the extra inner wheel/tire clearance is huge. Tire wear looks pretty even as well but I'll have to save my full assessment on that until I move to a new set of tires with just the new uprights. I currently have camber set to -3.5, slight toe in up front (I like the feel) and -2.3, toe in rear. Probably won't change anything there.

Overall, I really like the way the car feels with the uprights and do believe front end grip has improved. Don't see any negatives besides the price for entry, with one caveat--I would only consider these uprights for a lowered and track-focused car.

Will continue to report back with more thoughts, 1-2 more track days this month, new treaded tires at some point to replace RT660, COTA in February and plan to run DH scrubs then.

Awesome to hear and a rewards from the fruits of your labor.

thanks for sharing
Sharing this here for others who may try to max out. A little too snug for comfort for me in the front. This photo is with no spacer, Pirelli DH 305/645-18 on Bimmerworld TA-5r 18x10.5 et24. Yes I could remove the helper springs but I still think it would be too close for comfort.

Then this is with a 5mm spacer … still too close I think when considering tire movement/expansion under load, going to swap to 285/645-18’s up front for now and likely run the 5mm spacer. I also ground down some of the rear sheet metal that sticks out under the liners. Also tried a 10mm spacer and the driver side tire gets temporarily stuck on that sheet metal at full lock (even when ground down). Will probably work on grinding or bending it some more in the future but I have the 285’s so may as well use them. Thanks to tlrid3r's user avatartlrid3r for helping me think this through.

Sheet metal early on the grinding and where I took a break at. Probably totally fine for 285’s at this point. May work on some more later if I remove the helper springs and try 305’s again.

And with the 285/645-18 on 18x10.5 et24 with a 5mm spacer. About to drive around and check rub.

No obvious rubbing so sticking with this setup for COTA in a few weeks, can't wait!
Been wondering if 295/30 would fit with this setup. Contemplating upgrading to TTX down the road. Likely add flossman fenders to give some extra room.

Awesome setup, really hoping I can find a set of these used on the forums. I also had to grind away that sheet metal after some caster adjustments.

Would love any before/after data you have from events with and without the uprights. :cool!:
