I had a Lotus Evora 400 I just recently sold. It drove amazingly, it seriously allowed me to understand how inferior the e92 m3 chassis was. The 400 was a bit faster than the s and still a quick car but nowhere near as fast as some more modern sports cars. But the feedback and response from the steering, chassis, and suspension were sublime!
Evora blows the e9x away in the fun factor. Definitely wanna do your research if it's your only car though. If it's a 2nd or 3rd car then it's a no brainer

Wow blows the doors off for real?? Tell me more.. Been eyeballing a few. Lol How about compared to a 911? I have a 991.1 carrera manual and a 996 C4s.
I don't know, it's a Toyota engine that blows if you go in too hard taking high lateral G corners.. I would track my M3 over an Evora any day.

Did a spirited test drive and loved it. More nimble and go-cart-esk. Solid mid range torque. As quoted in your article this was the only deal breaker for me:

"but the Evora’s tiny rear window and vast rear blind spots lend an unwelcome element of mystery"
