For all you 6spd folks out there... Are any of you adding Liqui Moly Ceratec into your transmissions?

I have put this in engine but not tranny. I don't have the balls. Seems to work in engine tho but i just worry about how long it lasts. I did it in engine for 2000 miles then drained it.
Might wreak havoc on the synchros. I wouldn't do it.
Supposedly this coats the friction points in the engine/trans to decrease drag on the areas that wear down the most... Even after draining it.
If it works in the engine, why not the trans? (even says so in the bottle).
I'm skeptical too, still wondering if anyone has tried it.

But I'm not convinced that it would be safe on the synchros. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can pipe in, but the synchros require some friction. This might damage them and cause a lot of grinding gears.
Seems to me they would not recommend it for trans if it could damage synchros. They would specify only non synchro trans (really really old ones) or automatics.
Precisely. Upon doing more research online, it looks like people who add it to their manual trans experience positive results.
Either way, I've reached out to Liqui Moly directly to ask them about it effecting synchros, and for confirmation that it can be safely used in our trans.
I'll post the response if/when I receive one.

Received a prompt response from Liqui-Moly!

Thank you very much for contacting us and your interest in our LIQUI MOLY products.
Our Cera Tec is suitable for use in the manual transmission of your M3 if your vehicle is equipped with the ZF GS6 transmission (MTF-LT3 label). The dosage is the same as in motor oils (approx. 6-7% of the total oil volume) and it is safe for use with the synchros.
Please observe the product information which you can see by using this link : https://pim.liqui-moly.de/pidoc/P000017/3721-CeraTec-44.0-us.pdf

Ceratec is the best oil additive out there, especially for ticking bombs like S65. Love them in all my engines.

FYI… I drained and filled all my fluids (diff, clutch and tranny), and included this in my tranny fluid after refill, and it’s been running super smooooth for 4yrs now.
