wyatth wroteYou can just drive my car if you want. I am probably free this weekend. Send me a PM if you want to see what it sounds like with just the plenum and corsa muffler.Right on. Yeah I love the MPE but it’s just so quiet, so now I feel I need a plenum.

kcdedric wroteSounds much better. To clarify can you show a pic of what you mean exactly with the bottom section of the cowl that was removed?Update: took off the bottom section of the cowl and went for another test drive with the Karbonius. Verdict: I don't think the intake noise could possibly get any better. I mean, my god.
I'll let the video do the talking:
steven_s wroteCertainly. Both initial videos with the Eventuri and Karbonius were also done with the BMS cowl filters but the bottom section of the cowl was still installed. That looks like this:Sounds much better. To clarify can you show a pic of what you mean exactly with the bottom section of the cowl that was removed?

In the most recent video with the Karbonius I removed the bottom section of the cowl and the weatherstrip that seals against the hood. This leaves no barrier between the BMS cowl filters and the engine bay which results in more noise. That looks like this:
CSL_DNA wroteE9x is the last of the visceral generation of M Cars where power does not interfere with the driving experienceI'm glad people are realizing these are not Cost per HP gain but more of a how it enhances the driving experience.
Been a Year on the e92M and over 4 years now on the E46M and still enjoy every second of the induction noises on both cars!
Thanks for doing the comparison videos.
For those who have inquired, I'm not going to be selling either setup. I'm keeping the Karbonius on my car and my mom is taking the Eventuri setup off my hands for her E92 M3.
Also, I picked up a new OEM paper filter and weighed it at 1lb 7oz for a savings of 11oz over the MS filter. I'll be swapping that in to see if it makes a noticeable difference in sound one way or the other.

kcdedric wroteyour family has my highest respect sirSure does
Jeeez the cowl delete makes a big difference. Can you do the same test for us with the eventuri, perhaps when you put it on your moms car?
Browntrash wroteI won't make any promises as to when, but I can try to get video of that setup at some point. Here is a quick clip of the CarboProject Euro Export Plenum, this is the thinner version so it's louder.
I seriously need to get a better recording setup, using my Samsung ZFold 2 to record this. Just a little quick 3-5k.

Browntrash wroteGoPro Hero 9 on my head doing the video and audio. Everything is OEM but the plenum and the muffler. Most of of this is recorded with the windows up. With windows down the wind noise can be distracting depending on speed.Where’s the mic? On the head cam? If so dam!!! Sounds good. Are you catless?
Many thanks for your write up here
I prefer the sound and look of the Eventuri one. Which is what I aim to fit to my e92 next. Currently have the MPE only and like it but I need intake noise.
Think I’ll skip the intake etc and just fit the plenum.

Colinv6 wroteI have the full Eventuri (plenum, lid, elbow) plus MPE with stock midpipe. Sounds very racecar without being antisocial. Been debating test pipes but tbh the sound is just about perfect now and i hate to mess it up.I prefer the sound and look of the Eventuri one. Which is what I aim to fit to my e92 next. p.s. I did the Eventuri piecemeal - first plenum then intake then airbox lid. Each step changed the sound and made it slightly louder. The full system is best imo.
Running the Eventuri plenum with Dinan intake. I'm running test pipes with the ACM exhaust mod. I feel like this combo almost completely drowns out the plenum. A bit disappointed but I guess it looks cool while I debate if I should quiet down my exhaust setup.
RE36TRO wroteHow loud is your exhaust? I drove in AKKANDO e90 M3 and could definitely hear/fell the plenum over his Corsa.
