I was driving to work this morning at around 9:30am, and spotted a jerez black convertible pull up aside of me. I was surprised because I didn't realize a convertible model was available to the public yet. I'm 100% sure it was a convertible model, because the hardtop had creases in two locations. The car looked very sleek! I first spotted it in Carson near the Goodyear blimp site off the 405N, and the m3 drove off into the 110N ramp heading to LA. Just wanted to let everyone know that the convertible is a headturner, and looks good with the hardtop on.
Yes, they're available for sale. JerseyBeemer saw a Silverstone Vert M3 at our local dealer...check the thread:

Based on the general consensus, the M3 Vert is not so hot. Looks better with the top down.
yes, top down all the time and you are golden. top up=throw up.

Did it have Crevier plates on it? I saw a Jerez black Vert there a couple days a go when I went car shopping for one of my buddies. Looks very nice, especially with the chrome window trim.
Did it have shadowline (black) or titanium (silver) exterior trim?

Gag!
:barf:

The car is hot WITHOUT that crappy trim. Shadowline all the way baby. Unfortunately it appears BMW have pulled a swap on us. The brochure lists Shadowline Trim as standard equipment, but cars being delivered have the same crappy crome trim as their 328 / 335 'vert siblings. I've got one on order (E93 M3) and am seriously pissed. It should look like the pic in my signature below... not like a run-of-the-mill 335i 'vert. The E92 M3's brothers (E90 / E92 M3's) have the dark high-gloss Shadowline Trim. Why not the 'vert?!
+1 ^^^

I can not imagine why BMW changed that for the US. Look at this MR vert and think what it would look like with the chrome.

Even with the top down, the A-pillar would not look right being chrome.
Chrome is the enemy.
