Valve Covers | Which Color do you Prefer?

I've seen a couple of member refinish their valve covers in a few different colors. I'm curious what you prefer.

Black





Blue



Red





Also, this is amazing

I'm picking blue because its kind of fun and if you matched one of the M blue tones it would make the engine bay pop. I think the darker blue would be better. I guess it all depends on other under the hood changes you have. If I had red sway bars, Id think it would be good to go and match that color on the valve covers. That stock photo you posted does not do the grey ones justice with that duct tape and all ;-). I just got new stock colored valve covers and they look really nice too.

Red if you have a stroker

Im diggin the blue ones.

Red covers are great until they get dirty. Black hides dirt better.

Wrinkled Black. Sammy sprayed his coil covers, Id do that to complete the match.

I dropped mine off to get cerakoted blue to match my ZE40s a few weeks ago, crossing my fingers they turn out well. Do the coil covers need to be on there? Do they just help keep debris out of the plug wells?

You can leave them off.. they're more cosmetic than anything

Im having mine powder coated right now in red. Paying $200 for the pair to have it done.

I did mine to match my f80 calipers. Probably going to be a pain to keep clean

I'll go wrinkle red when it's time.

Wrinkle black or blue look good. Gloss finishes no.

That stock pic in OP makes me cry - taped intake tube, bent strut bar, etc. Yikes.

Ha! Didn't even notice. Terrible. Also a missing cabin filter cover

I personally prefer wrinkled silver to keep it as OEM as possible. I love the OEM engine bay

In S Florida mine were 150, blasted and coated wrinkle black.
