Deleting headlight washers for Euro bumper

I'm about to install my Euro front bumper and planning to completely delete the headlight washers. Ive searched but all the threads mention just coding them out to not spray but I'm looking to completely remove the washers and related parts. Can anyone who completely eliminated the washers give some advice on whats involved? I want to do a clean delete that can be reversed and not affect the windshield washer system. Also will i have an error code on the dash if I remove them and don't code them off? Thanks!

Let me know if you find the answers you're looking for; plan on doing the same thing with an ECS euro bumper in a few months.

Actually it's pretty simply. There's a tube running behind the bumper secured by zip ties or hooks, don't remember. I took out most of it, then towards the end cut it off and plugged it. Weight reduction bro.

And no errors if they're not off. I had mine coded out and still on for quite a while.

Plug the hose at the washer reservoir tank. Remove the sprayers, nozzle, hose. Code it out for no-errors. Looks more sophisticated than it actually is.

So there will be error codes if I remove the sprayers, nozzles, and hoses? Do they have electrical connections? Im kinda surprised that removing them would be detected and throw an error.

I would think you'd want to code it out so the pump isn't deadheading against a blocked line

Does anyone have any photos of how to remove the sprayers on the headlight brackets?

Question: Do cars with headlight washers utilize two pumps, or one?

Do cars with headlight washers use BOTH pumps and cars without headlight washers use only ONE pump? Or is there only one pump on both types of cars, and you just pick the appropriate one depending on which type of car you have?

Took off my bumper today and finally got to see what the headlight washers look like. There were 2 not-good surprises:
1) the hoses are pretty thick and big, and the one coming from the pump looks to be pretty deep into the engine bay, gonna be fun trying to track it to the pump....
2) the nozzle brackets are part of the bumper support and look like they cant be removed...only the nozzle itself. I wonder if just removing the nozzle will be enough clearance to mount my euro bumper that doesn't have headlight washer holes?

Why don't you just cut the holes for the headlamp washers in the new Euro bumper. I did ! Bought from IND, they painted it, they cut the holes in the bumper.

Did this end up working out? Did you have to cut anything or change the bracket?

That looks pretty straight forward... disconnect the T junction and plug it. Remove the rest of the tubing/nozzles/etc thats running across the bumper support there. Code out headlight washers in the JBBF module. Done.

I removed mine (everything but the nozzles themselves, which are light and plug the hole in my bumper) last time I had the bumper off. I was pretty surprised how much the lines weighed even with no fluid in them well in excess of 3lb. You need to take the passenger side fender liner out to get all of the hose back to the connection to the pump.

I haven't bothered to code them out yet.

There's also a no-washer equipped car bottle part number, I didn't change that eaither, waiting for the dreaded cracked e90 washer bottle to happen to me again. Until then my capacity is 1/2 a liter of fluid, lol

Just deleted mine. Needed to shave down the washer nozzle holders.

I am curious why you had to shave the headlight arm/bracket? As far as I can tell there aren't different headlight arms (which is the piece that supports the nozzle for the headlight washers below the headlights) for cars with/without headlight washers. That piece you shaved shouldn't interfere with anything on a Euro bumper, once the washer nozzles are removed.

I just went through this with an ECS Euro bumper and it fit fine without shaving the headlight arm on my car. I just removed the nozzles and the hoses back to the T junction on the passenger side.

Only part numbers I see for M3 headlight arms are:
-51118040551 (left)
-51118040552 (right)
See diagram here The part pictured is not M3 specific but if you follow the part numbers and search on ECS Tuning or another site you can see that all these brackets have the washer nozzle support.

I cross-checked several years of US and EURO models on RealOEM, these are the only part numbers I see for these parts and they all have the support for headlight washer nozzles and tubing. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
