Who can I send my wheel / core out to to be stripped of the leather and have them wrap it in Alcantara. I came across a site called Coby Wheel and they seem like they do a good job. Has anyone heard of them or used them?

anyone have advice on how to restore the blue stripe from fading? any vinyl or paint to match?

I used these guys on my E46M3. He wrapped my interior trim in OEM alcantara. It was unreal.

Use him without fear. Great work, great quality. You'll never know the difference.

As previously said, IND might be able to help with this.

Otherwise, your typical leather cleaner/oil should help. If the blue is faded badly, I would take a crack at BMWNA. It's worth a shot.
Anyone planning to sell their Performance Steering Wheel (DCT)? if so, PM please.

cheers

How was the pricing for them? Their quality looks great! Did you have them do your wheel too? Was wondering how the core exchange works with them. How much were the products you got from them about if you don't mind me asking.

It's a oem performance wheel. Stripe on wheel was dyed to red to match interior. I purchased the wheel like that from a member on this site.

Ok so at least it sounds like the wheel is black. More pictures please!

Decided to help myself a bit (it looks black):

Aaaaand then it's not black:

The wheel is black suede...in certain lighting its looks lighter than it is, but it's definitely black. Just take care of it, keep it clean, and it will stay dark.

That's awesome. I couldn't find any wheel with the red stripe as an OEM Performance other than IND. I can now get the blue one and just paint it :)
Mines normal wheel :(

V2. I wish they did tri stitch on these instead of the white. I may have to get that done eventually.

Thank you. I hired professional leather guy. He came to my home, wrapped the entire wheel and cut the edges of the stripe using razor. and spray painted with fox red. Also fixed driver side black door holding trim and front seat using with silicone. Since he was doing all this things, I asked him to refurbish my old steering wheel as well. And now it is in brand-new condition on sale :)
Here's mine.

Love the interior with the alcantra touches. If it weren't for the Awron gauge on my car, I would love to have a steering wheel set up like yours

I got rid of mine because I rarely used it AND I needed that AC vent for our hot summer days here in ATL! Haha

Hmmm...maybe I should do the same but I want to replace that white stitching with the M tri-color stitch which is going to be hard :mad0260:. Wish it came from factory with the M tri-stitch already.
