I have this installed in my old 335 and current m3. It was a pain in the arse in a sense but wasn't hard in terms of technicalities. It just requires some time. The hardest part was feeding the wire from the trunk lid down the damn gommet but after you do that part, everything else is pretty easy. It will require you to remove the headunit (not the screen) to hook up. I am not sure how EAS did it but there should be a module that will connect between the camera as well as the headunit.

One thing though, even if you don't have the PDC, the PDC icon you see will always show so the camera isn't full screen (that's if you opt for the OEM-like way of turning on the camera)

Harnesses are Plug and Play - can't get any easier.



Simply remove the iDrive unit and plug in between the CIC and vehicle harness and route to trunk. No splicing or pinning needed.
