Hello Melbourne Red!

As a few of you know I've been a life time BMW enthusiast/nerd. I've been on the forums for as long as I can remember and before BFC a few of us kept together a pretty strong NW contingent on DTM Power in both Seattle and PDX. I've forged some life long friendships with people who I've met through my affiliation with BMW's - for that I am eternally thankful.

For the last six and a half years I've worked at Rasmussen BMW/BMW Portland in downtown PDX. I started in the back of the shop washing cars; and rose through the ranks of our service department. When I graduated college; I moved into sales. Now, I am one of the NW's only ///M Certified Sales Advisors - for work I get to play with new BMW's all day. My career doesn't suck.

I've been fortunate enough to have had several BMW's over the last 13 years that I've been driving

As I'm getting a new one I decided it was time to reflect. In order I've had:

87 325is Alpine White
96 Dinan ///M3 Hellrot Red
98 Dinan ///M3 Dakar Yellow
89 535i w/ limited slip and a stick shift Alpine White
07 328i sedan 6MT Alpine White
09 135i 6MT Le Mans Blue
11 335is DCT Black Sapphire Metallic

I'm so lucky that I've always had great cars from our brand; but I've never had the EXACT right car I wanted.

That changes Wednesday - I decided to get the BMW I've always wanted.

I'm flying to SLC to pick up this (dealer traded to our inventory on Friday):

It's a 2013 Melbourne Red ///M3 coupe Competition/Premium/Dual Clutch/Heated Seats and Premium Sound. I was going to have it trucked to PDX but instead I'm flying to SLC and driving it home. It's going to look fantastic with my license plates and I'm SO EXCITED.

Painted reflectors, tint and edition side gills all get installed Thursday Friday.

Trying to figure out which angel eyes to get - open to your input?

This is my plate; if you see me in PDX; definitely wave or say "hi"

Congrats! I am a big fan of Melbourne Red, as well. It was between Red and White, when I was shopping for my M. Just happened to find white, first.

Picked her up back in Jan.

Picking up my red one on Wednesday. although i never plain on getting that color, i wanted black or white. I was having a hard time finding one though local dealership. every time i went to the dealership the red M3 there started to grow on me, so i deiced to grab it.
