Many of you will be familiar with our Evolve x Bilstein B6 EDC dampers that we developed a few years ago. Tweaking the already great Bilstein product to suit rougher roads that we see in the UK we expanded the dampening range to make each mode feel more distinct, with the soft end particularly being more adept over poor road surfaces.

We typically paired these with some now NLA height adjustable springs, so decided to look in to producing our own spring based on development and setup of our own car.

With our Japan Red E92 M3 being setup for fast road use by alignment specialists Centre Gravity, including the ride height for optimum damper travel we benchmarked our own Lowering Springs against this setup.

We worked hard to replicate not only the ride height but also the performance on the road. It was important for us to maintain the excellent road manners we have experienced before, along with track performance when needed.

Most importantly we also went back to the original BMW springs to refresh our memory on how BMW M specced the Competition springs, to minimise any decrease in ride comfort. This was key as we still use this car for road trips across Europe and suspension that is too stiff can turn an 8-10 hour day on the road in to a real struggle.

Overall we're incredibly happy with the final product, and it's great to be able to offer a paired spring/damper combo that we have developed specifically for our own usage of mainly Fast Road with occasional track use.

Full video review:
I am going to purchase these but I want to know if you have different iterations for E90's, E92's, and E93's. I intend on matching these to the Bilstein x Evolve Dampers I purchased 2 years back and never installed.

My E90 M3 has all of the bells and whistles and weighs considerably more than a E92 Single hump car so I am wondering if your team has different versions.
Thanks for this. I know you developed the spring and B6 damper combo primarily for fast road use, but any feedback on the combo so far for track use?

At the moment we have only tested on the E92 M3, we do not get single hump cars in the UK so ours is a 'full fat' model, albeit with the lighter Performance Recaros.

As such we only list them for the E92 M3, I believe we have one customer who has purchased them to fit on an E90 M3 and is going to report back to us. They will physically fit but we are unsure as of yet on how the ride height will sit relative to the body.

Weight wise the two different body styles are fairly similar so we wouldn't expect any huge variations on performance.

Some brands list one part number as compatible with both, and others offer variants. On the F8x and G8x platform we know this to be necessary purely for aesthetics.

Our car was actually used for a 'track battle' with a racing driver behind the wheel, as of yet to be released but with very positive feedback from the driver.

Fast Road/Occasional Track use is our aim, but not to the point of sacrificing road manners for the track performance.

Thanks. Occasional track use (5-6 track days a year) is my primary use case with mostly road use, and I don't want coilovers or track-focused suspension at this point.

Would love to see the track battle! Will this be a future video?

If you like the look of how ours sits then they could be a great combo for you.

We'll share it on our social media when it's posted - It was not our video we just provided the car.

Any updates for the E90 application? I was thinking to purchase them and pair with the dampers for my e90 as well.

We have not fitted any ourselves, one customer has reported they are happy with the ride height but did not provide front/rear images for us to share.

Unfortunately with the E90 M3 being much rarer we do not see many through our workshop to test a set on.
