For the first time ever, Sherwood DEQ failed my E92 on visuals last week. Never got a second look four times previously, but the guy walked around, looked at exhaust tips (Dinan muffler), and went to town.

I'm assuming it wasn't the exhaust, and something else? Or the exhaust was the only failure point?
Well now you've got me nervous. Just took my new car through and got no comments or questions. Even the DEQ website basically says they don't do visual inspection: https://www.oregon.gov/deq/vehicle-inspection/pages/obd.aspx
Maybe the inspector was just having a bad day. DEQ did just get hacked beginning of April and screwed up their systems.

Went through the Sherwood DEQ today with no issues or questions, even in my very modified state. The exhaust was even booming a bit because the AC was running. Guy just glanced at the license plate #.
