Funny story...

My dad was the annual pumpkin pie maker in our house and passed the tradition down to me. One Thanksgiving when we were in SLC we had a co-worker, who also had no family in town, over for Thanksgiving dinner and I made my usual pumpkin pies; my dad made the crust from scratch, I used frozen crusts. Well at desert time I served one of the pies and the husband kept pulling something out of his mouth with every bite, which I thought was weird, but oh well. After he finished his pie he dumped what was on his plate. Turns out, I grabbed the pie where I forgot to remove the paper separator from between the two frozen crusts! Oops.... :o

Subway is my 3rd favorite sandwich joint. The first two are Togo's then Jersey Mike's.

Used to have a Togo's by us, it was really good. It's been gone for years and there's not another one around. My favorite these days is Jersey Mike's and there are two close by.

I guess I'll try Jersey Mike when they open.

i apsolutely ADORED subway sandwiches, but for some reason (Im guessing too high price for Croatian market), they went bust 2 times.first they opened in early 2000s, worked in like 5-6 locations in town, worked pretty good, then closed in maybe 2012, and then again reopened maybe in 2017lets say, worked for a few years and closed again. They are a bit (too) pricey, but it was delicious and felt like Im not eating fast food, but a home made sandwich...enjoy it :)

That's what I like about Jersey Mike's; "fresh-sliced meats and cheeses." Don't remember if Togo's did that, been too long since I've been to one.
Last night was my first pumpkin pies of the year. This time around I used Pappa Pillars as the secret ingredient. No, not IN the pie

I didn’t go as heavy with the cloves or fresh ginger, weren’t as good at Friendsgiving. But I both started and finished with a slice

Current blood sugar, even after 2 extra shots since lunch, is 343 :help:
