Playing with Jarts that had the steel spikes at the end, not the wimpy weights and standing right next to the hoop while the Jart thrower made their throw.

Dodgeball in gym class. That would never be allowed these days.
Clackers, guaranteed to bust a knuckle or break a finger. I still have a set.

I'm not old and I had a set of these growing up, so does this really count?

Eh I had this when I had gym class, last was about 4 years ago

I know I'm getting old though; sophomore year I blacked out, somehow went to my apartment. Failed to find the bed so I slept on the floor of my bathroom. My alarm woke me up and I made it freshly showered and at least passable to my 9am physics lab. Two years later - I'll have 5-6 drinks and I'm out of commission for the next day

I'm guessing they were hand me downs. If I remember correctly, they took those off the market due to all kinds of injuries with the balls chipping or breaking off and flying into eyes, cutting faces etc.
When I got my drivers license the 1st tank of gas was 17 cents for regular, 28 cents for premium and 15 cents for diesel.

A pack of smokes were 17 cents from the machine, but you needed two dimes to buy them. the pack had a small envelope taped to it with three cent in it for your change. Plus a book of matches came with each sale.
I really don't want to be "that kid" but just so I have a time frame, how long ago were a pack of darts 17 cents?

I feel better now, Someone is older than I am. I remember cigarettes being $0.50 a pack when I had to go to the store to buy for my mother.
Black and white TV, only one in the house, must have cost a fortune and had poor reception with rabbit ears.

I remember when we moved to SoCal and there were a seemingly endless number of channels to watch. Had no idea there were more than CBS, ABC, NBC and PBS!
I posted in the other thread, taking two six packs of empty bottles to the grocery (walked there) and getting the refund money, then going next door to the barber for a haircut which cost the same I think. I believe that was $0.25 (~ 2 pennies a bottle) but it might have been $0.50 (nickel; a bottle). Buzz cut. And the barber had playboy but scolded me if I snuck a look!

CO2 or pump? Actually saw a bb come at me like a curveball once. Hit me in the eyebrow. Could have ended up with an eye patch.

Nowadays you can’t even fire one in your backyard where we live. Ridiculous.

Oh, and watched the first Apollo mission to land on the moon live on a black & white tv.
I would have watched it but I wasn't born until 10 days later.

I must be half your age then - can’t remember them being cheaper than $1 or $1.50 a pack

I was too young to drive or smoke, but remember 32 cents a gallon and 35 cents a pack at the local Shell station.
Anyone remember these? Or survive them? Don't know if already posted...

Dude. The Hall Boys (Literally addressed like one person though there were 3) showed up at the annual 4th of July picnic with Daisy Machine Gun BB Guns and turned it into Apocalypse now. The parents were not amused.
