There's a lot of members on here with sim racing setups so I wanted to get a thread going so we can create a network and race with each other. Maybe if someone is organized enough, we can get some scheduled races going.

Gran Turismo Sport

I have a PC, I'd be happy to pick up a new game. what's the best one now?

I am a PlayStation fan, but the GT sport is nothing what made me like GT games. Now I moved to Xbox and play Forza M7 and Horizon 2 and 4.

Putting my rig together as we speak. Should be ready in a couple weeks.

PC based, triple screen 8020 rig with Fanatec gear.

Probably starting off with AC and rFactor 2.

Where do I find my steam friend ID?

Being stuck at home made me go out and buy a PS4 + wheel setup. Will be mainly playing F1 2019, but also will probably buy GT Sport and Assetto Corsa. Figured might as well learn some sim racing.

And boy did I get a shock on how expensive all this gear came to be. And I basically have a very beginner setup...playseat challenge seat with Fanatec CSL Elite F1 Starter Kit.

I've always had interest in getting a setup. Prob PC based? How realistic is it? Not afraid to spend the money on set up. Thanks!

Ugh if you want realism you can dump a lot of money into it. You can start out in the low hundreds with logitech or thrustmaster. If you want to start big like I did...you buy into Fanatec. My first purchase was almost $3k.

If you want realism you get a Direct Drive Wheel base with force feed back.

Wow great start! I'm waiting for my Fanatec to come in, but just starting with the CSL Elite w/ F1 club sport wheel.

I'm assuming you're playing F1 2019 on Xbox?
