Lime Rock is a weird case. It is a special request color and not considered standard for some reason. It really stands out from all the other colors listed. I really not sure why. Might be a good idea to add it with a footnote?

BMW didn't "reuse it"

BMW M3 Lime Rock Edition came in Fire Orange color
BMW M3 CS came in Lime Rock Grey metallic color

One is the name of a color, another is a name of a special edition
Thanks for clarifying! My vote is for the Fire Orange for whoever was thinking about the M4 individual:D

If I were to repaint my beloved Red Roadster....it would be Donington Gray Metallic.
Misano Blue these days rather than Red.
My picks
Nogaro, Lime Rock and SSII from the M Circuit Colors
Moonstone for Non Circuit Individual
you see my pattern

After looking at all of the colors my favorite is Yas Marina Blue. There is something special about this color, it is a head turner every time I see one on the road. Also in my opinion it looks really different depending on the lighting and the color changes when viewed during the day vs. night.

I agree with this. The Yas Marina Blue just stands out in the nicest way. Guilty of having ignored a few green lights trying to get a better view of the car in the opposite lane :D
Don't get me wrong, I love the Misano Blue on my G29 Z4 but if Yas Marina Blue had been offered for the 2022's I would have selected it in a flash!
1903 Gordon Bennett Cup…British Racing Green?
Here is my San Remo green....

Updated with M4 grill....

The interior is the perfect partner to the SRG. I would drive with the top down as often as possible to show it off. ;)

As some of you probably have noticed, BMW names some of their M colors after racing circuits, racing events or prominent racing locations. Some are quite known and obvious, some not so much. Here is a list I compiled so far. Let me know if I missed anything or if you spot any mistakes.
Maybe we can add Zandvoort Blue? :)
Bravo! Amazing post!
All those circuits I've never heard of-- but no love for Watkins Glen?
I have owned several BMWs in my life but the is my first full M car. We need to add a race in Brooklyn...
