Not true...the CLK550 in US is exactly the same car as CLK 500 in Europe.

It's funny how most of you say " Oh he ran a shitty M3 Driver" How about it's the other way around? you ran against shitty CLK550 Drivers?

When cars are so close it comes down to the better driver, but given 2 equal drivers the M3 should win here.

Umm you are in Mexico and he is in New Yor City ... How exactly is he supposed to race you? (going by what you registered as your location)

we are about 30 mins away from each other, last time he called us out and we showed up, only to find out he showed up half hour after we left.

No questions asked M3 will rape clk550 on the road course, but that is completely irrelevant to me since i don't track my car.
Our argument was that in some cases we took out M3, we don't know if the driver was horrible, if he didn't start in the correct rpm range. Thats why we told advan we will run him just to see if clk550 can hand or beat M3 in certain cases. I always thought M3 was faster but after a few runs with a few i stopped believing that. We never intended to talk shit until Advan got all Cocky M3 this M3 that.

But if you must drag, if your CLK cannot beat a C63 AMG, then no way you can beat a M3 DCT. Just trying to save you some gas and embarassment so should read this before going blah blah blah about torque and power:

When I saw the thread on the MB forums, I thought you were in NYC? Anyway, I'm in the area and would love to have a friendly run. I have an M3 6MT so doing from a dig might not be perfect since I don't like to launch my car.

while yes abusive to the clutch, the M3 is one of the easiest cars to launch, again one of the easiest cars to drive fast.

While I love the engines in the Mercedes-Benz, especially the AMG series. BMW’s always seem to be a better track car even when matched to the AMG cars. I think a better comparison would be the C63 to the M3 with the M3 still being a better track car.

CLK 550 0-60 4.9-5.1 secs
CLK 63 0-60 4.5 secs

M3 0-60 4.5-4.7 secs
