20" Wheels with Springs? How bad is the Ride?

Im close to purchaseing as set of 20" forged wheels, but am concerned that the ride will be to hard... I also have a set of Eibach springs.
Does any one have any experience of running 20" wheels.
Should in not bother and stick with 19"s?
Also rubbing?...

Pretty general question there. It all has to do with the spacing and the sizing. If you run proper offsets and proper size tires, you should not rub and it should feel good. Those who experience issues usually didnt set it up right in the first place.

ITs a set of HRE p43s that were on an M3 previously, so the set up is good. Just want to know if if will really feel the bumps or is ts hardly noticable...

i have eibach on my car with 20's forged and i dont feel much the difference from the 19's i had previously, the ride is still feel comfy nothing worse and feel pretty much the same, rubbing issues with actually depend on the offset of the wheels you order. If you are riding H&R thats a different story bcoz i have driven my fd's car with those springs.

Do you have any photos of the car, would be keen to see the drop?

i have eibach as well and run 20" klassens and have no issues what so ever. Seems to be a great ride so far. Had them about 5 months now.

Mine dont rub at all... I have 285 30 20 rear and 265 30 20 front

I daily my 20s.. no complaints, no rubbing

RD Sport Springs

One of the important factors is the tire brand/model as well. What spec tire is being used?

Well im currently on PS2 CUPS... but these come with Falkens... not sure what size though.

My daily on coils, but I had springs before, and they are great

i have rd sport springs with 20" 360 forged wheels and the ride is awesome, not much different then my oem 19s, no complaints

Why are you putting Falkens? They are one of the worst tires you can buy.
Going from Michelin to Falkens is like going from BMW to a Hyundai, not even Toyota or Honda. Dont cheap out on tires..they are the only thing keeping you on the road.

I have 20's on Eibach springs with Pirelli P Zero tires. The ride is harsher than my 18" factory wheels but not unbearable. My wife didn't notice the difference. I think the look is well worth it.

I am running more or less the same set up you are contemplating. I have the HRE P43s, in conjunction with KW coilovers, with a moderate drop. Here's my original post:

Since then, the rear of the car, especially, has settled, so is lower.

I have no issues with rubbing, and the ride is VERY acceptable - dare I say it, the ride is better than my old e46 M3, which was stock.

You won't regret purchasing the HREs. GREAT wheels!

E90 with 20x9 +15 (255/35/20) 20x10 +15 (275/35/20) on RD Sport springs. Oh so slightly rubbing in the front at the moment since I didn't get an alignment done yet.

I have 20's on RD Sport springs, they were on eibach springs right when i got the wheels. no doubt it will be a rougher ride, but i personally enjoy the ride with the 20's more then with the stock 19's.

U will need lower springs then Eibach for a better look though
