Good question. I actually just replaced my individual audio speakers with Musway with the exception of an 8 channel DSP amp which will get installed when my guys have free time. I’ve always found individual audio to be boring and very toned down. Keep in mind I was raised in audio shops. That being said I do have a Focal 100ac in the front dash single speaker spot and true to fashion it performs great on its own. We’re authorized dealers of Bavsound and have turned down request to distribute other “plug and play” systems but a lot of them are just that. A replacement for factory. I hate to say it but the marginal improvement from a lot of brands aren’t enough to rationalize spending $2,000 in my opinion. Musway on the other hand I’ve absolutely loved. The highs and mids are much more pronounced. The 8in subs from factory are more mids if anything and hardly provide any bass at all but the Musway replacements change that without having to run cable to a box in the trunk. I documented the simple install I just haven’t posted it yet. If you’re local to Long Beach, CA you’re free to come in and test a few songs in my car. Or I can send some videos but of course the quality will suffer. Hope that answers some questions. Any more I’m happy to hop on a call and get technical.

Yep, I went with OE replacements from FCP. I did some research and saw all the issues people had with autopart store's aftermarket coils

I am interested in getting upgraded speakers form my HiFi stereo, but from what I see online Musway is only sold through audio shops. There is no way to just purchase online so I can do the install myself?

Bmwdeven Is it louder or just more clear? My only complaint is that I want to keep turning the volume up but I'm already maxxed out. Do they have an amp to make it louder?

If you have an INPA setup there is some function in there that allows you to play a test sine wave at any given Hz on any speaker in the setup, was useful for figuring where crossovers were and other strengths of speaker setups. I'm guessing you know but just in case.

DM me if you need help with everything involved in upgrading base HiFi to L7 or IA. I found complete IA setup for $600 from a wrecked car and there are some quirks to that upgrade, really quite hard. You need a special fiber optic (MOST BUS) loop added in, the center AC vent with a speaker grill and run a wire thru the dash / trans cover to the back amp, wiring harness + a power cable for the IA but not the L7, and I used a hole saw for the rear tweeters and rear decklid speakers. Then you have to program the whole thing, do some VIN stuff, etc etc etc. My last car had the L7 and I just could not stand the HiFi and PNP upgrades seemed probably not worth it. I think even an experienced BMW guy would have a hard time with it, I was able to find like 1 guy who documented it.

Sold it to a fellow forum member. Going to miss this one!

Drilled holes in the trunk for the GT250 wing. Bought some vent tabs as well.

Slayed away at replacing the valve covers with some NRW and Evolve vanos caps. For all the Harrop owners looking to diy, don’t need to take the charger off, just need to raise it enough to remove the oil separators.

A bit louder with more distinguishable clarity overall. High, mids and low tones are more prevalent. The only way to truly get a louder speaker with a 4in is to amplify the system entirely.

The red crinkle NRW covers look really nice, especially with the HARROP.

Attempted oil change, and the PO appears to have stripped the front oil pan drain. Looking to get it re-tapped or go for a new pan.

Installed MPorium Vanos Cups, MPorium VCs, fresh spark plugs, Antigravity battery, BavSound Stage One, and some other stuff over the last week.

Got the car back from some heavy preventative maintenance (about $8k worth) that my warranty paid for.

New throttle actuators, thermostat, output shaft seals, A/C evaporator, and oil filter housing gasket.

Just installed RW CF hood vents after ceramic coating them. Received my cf trunk lip spoiler but quality was subpar. So waiting for a replacement. Temporary mod (hopefully) until I stumbled upon the Varis Hyper Narrow GT wing. Next up CF fender fender grilles and wheel setup.

Vanity plates should arrive within the next week or too.

Nice! Is it your daily? I drove an e93 for two years and made a thing of getting the top down at least once a month through the rainy season from October through June. It was an incredible road tripper, ran a couple times down the California coast. My only regret is leaving the exhaust stock.

Thanks. Not my daily. I have a two other vehicles that the wife and I daily and I have a SC AWD TL I drive during fall and winter when needed. I drop the top every chance I get. Even 40 degrees and sunny haha. I’m in Washington so have to enjoy it as much as possible.

Bought the M3 spontaneously after seeing it was a manual, V8, vert with 62k miles and mint condition. Got it for a steal.
