Help me pick a color

Orange and yellow are "Individual" colors, with a $5000 premium for the paint. There are maybe 6 Individual Dakar Yellow in the States or something? (seem to recall a thread with the number 6). Maybe 1 or 2 Fire Oranges?

You are looking for extremely rare cars. In addition, people that buy cars with Individual paint (and often individual trim + maybe some other individual custom items) --> usually have fully loaded cars underneath or, if they've been purposely stripped, often have serious ($$$) performance modifications. You are not looking at your average used M3 in terms of used car prices.........

I think you'd be waiting forever for a car, unless you buy one new.

...Jesus. How stupid would it be to buy a used M3 and paint it fire orange? I dont like being a poser but that color is just awesome.

..I envy your fire orange. I dont think I can even get one. I cant find a used and theres no way I can afford an 85k car..

I actually like to white with black/red or all red interior, started to see alot of those now a days, but haven't seen the monte carlo color in Convert...
I think that would look hot with a black and silver/bluish tone seats which I think they have, of course black satin or gloss wheel.. I can just picture it....

You clearly want Fire Orange. Chances of finding it used are almost none.

If you can't afford new, then you could have a *very* good body shop do a full teardown and repaint on a used M3 with the right specs. You can even choose a truly unique orange if you like. Make sure you talk timelines on completion if you pursue this route. There are places that could do it for you on this board in fact.

I would think that based on the premium cost of individual colors, you really should come to your own choice on color. Like its been said, you have basically NO chance of finding one used. Getting it painted aftermarket is a way to go, but it'll never match factory paint. Just spend some time really thinking about what you want to be looking at when not driving your car, there's the exterior, and what you want to be wrapped in while driving your car, there's the interior. For me, it's Monte Carlo and Rust Brown, no question, 100%. So I can justify the extra $10,000. If you gotta ask, you're not ready to make such a large purchase.

I don't agree on not matching factory paint. Good chance the paint will be better than factory if you have an exceptional place do it. BMW paint has a fair amount of orange peel from the factory.
