Do the side mirrors pop off, or do you have to take the door apart to remove them?

Just wondering if anyone had taken the side view mirrors off?
How hard is it to do?

the interior trim must come off, i'm pretty sure.

Correct, remove door panel first to remove the mirror housing.

I just happened to randomly come across this thread the other day. I didn't know the actual mirrors themselves just popped off. The side mirror housing is secured inside the door panel.

What's going on over there?
