Fs ZHP gear knob, ashtray, and iPhone dock

Replaced it with the performance knob
Great upgrade for the standard gear knob
New from getbmwparts it's $60
Asking $45 firm


I also have the oem Ashtray, includes cigarette lighter
In perfect condition
I also have the iPhone 4 dock
The dock fits inside the ashtray, and since you have to modify (drill) the ashtray to install it, I want to sell them together for $125 firm
That way you can keep your oem ashtray unmodified

Too bad I didn't see this 2 weeks ago. I just installed my ZHP knob from Tischer.

How does the dock connect to the multimedia cable in the armrest?

Yep
I don't think there is an oem illuminated ZHP knob

I got it to instal it
But now I found an amplifier I always wanted to own, so I need cash

Yeah I think your right. I wonder how much work is involved in transferring the LED board and shift pattern cap to an OEM ZHP?

There is a DIY in the forums for this.... or you can dish around $300 and get one off the shelf.

I would op for the non illuminated one for what it is worth as OP's asking $45 sond like a very good deal.

I tried searching and alekshop's site says plug-n-play but I figure I'd ask. Is it just to charge the phone or would it be a complement to the usb port in the glove box (i.e. bmw apps, pandora, etc.)?

It would be nice to not have to fumble with the usb cord all the time and leave a usb drive in that slot to increase my music library

The other end of the cable that comes out of it is a female dock connector
So you hook up the OEM iPod cable to it
It charges, and you get the same exact functionality as plugging the iPhone in the arm rest
But much easier to manage
