My Texas Mile Run 1 Oct 22

This was my fastest run (of two) for the day. I have some other video and pics that I will post later.

I'd like to hear some ideas on getting this car into the 190-200 range.. Seriously.

Watch in Full Screen 1080!

Run 1

Run 2

Run 2/2

God dude that looks crazy fast. What happened at the beginning looks like you got to 60 in like 2 seconds ha and then dropped to 40.

Looks like the rear lost traction for a second which caused the speed to rise and fall.

Thats what I thought too just looked like such a violent decrease in speed. I guess im just not used to watching the tac when losing traction.

Lots of wheel spin. Wider softer tires are a must before I go again. My official speed was 168.4. My second run was 167 due to me getting completely sideways off the line. That video will be uploaded tonight.

Very nice! Cant wait for next year when you'll have wider tires, stickier tires.

Did you lower the PSI a little? remember watching a 5th Gear show about them trying to hit top speed and they had to lower the PSI for a better launch.

It's an old decommissioned runway so perhaps that's why they stopped landing on it? Works just fine for top speed runs in vehicles.
