Good stuff man. The mirror folding and unfolding when locking and unlocking is sweet. I would love to have that as well.

Question on coding. Would any Hex-Can OBD-II cable, such as VCDC (aka VAG-COM), work with whatever software is required, or do you need a specialty cable (with built in key for the software)? And for that matter, what is the software used? Sorry, I'm new to BMW coding (do have a decent amount of experience on VW/Audis). Thanks!

Please post your questions here (http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=368) if you get stuck.
I don't know if this applies to M3s but there are other cool features that I like. -Disable the safety feature that stops windows from rolling down when your passenger opens their door. Car is off and you're rolling up the windows before you get out of the car. If the passenger opens their door before the windows rolls up completely, it'll stop it in midway. -Let the wipers complete their cycle when you shut down the car. If you shut down your car while the wiper is in the middle of the windscreen, it will just stay there. These 2 things bugged the hell out of me before I fixed them through coding.

I can't wait to do all of these things to my car. Is it that difficult to do for someone who's never done any coding before?

Not possible to do it automatically... It's part of the sequence for rolling up the windows/mirrors which is set in the CAS. After that is set the mirrors must be activated to fold in the NFRM/FRM.

It's the Fold Mirror setting in FRM module that works in conjunction with CAS settings to auto fold up when holding the lock button on the Key fob or lock pad on the door handle if you have comfort access. If the mirrors are in up position they will automatically unfold when you enter the car via the Fob or the CA door handle. You do not have hold anything when entering, just a click or pull of the handle.
