Paint waiver = FAIL

Be careful with that paint, especially with all that rain in FL, you might be in a world of trouble if that paint isn't meticulously cared for.

Congrats on your car!

Congrats Treetirdy!
If you just heard today, then a lot of people must have dropped out. That is great news! I am still waiting on finding out when mine is going to be delivered and they let me know back on June 21st that I got it. I signed all the papers in four days. I did get a production number and partial VIN today, so I should know, fingers crossed, within the week as to where it is at and when it is going to be delivered.

I am not too worried about the special paint care. It just says not to wax it, ever!

Other than not waxing it what do you need to do/avoid to keep the paint looking pristine? Anyone have pics of a matte paint on a car that was not taken care of? Just curious. Congrats to the op frozen gray is pretty sweet.

You can run it through an automatic car wash as long as no wax is applied. It needs to be rinsed off before run through of the auto wash. It says to remove insect, bird droppings, resins, tar spots, fuels and oil immediately and to avoid strong rubbing.

In the end, it seems that anything that has a corrosive in it may cause damage to the paint if left unattended. If you rub on the paint too much, then you could end up giving it a shine that it should not have. Just need to care for it more than normal.

Yes, I was on the waiting list at first..... people must have backed out but hey, thats fine with me. The paint wont be too bad just have to watch for stuff sitting on the paint too long. I dont see this as being a big deal

Congrats!!!

I dont know if I can handle the paint care though... and here I thought that Jerez Black was a PIA to take care of! You should have a bottle of quick detailer and a microfiber towel in the trunk so you can clean stuff off the paint anywhere.

I'd go with a bottle of water. I'd be afraid that the quick detailer would contain some wax or wax-like ingredients and thus would alter the surface and therefore the appearance.

yes it may be hard to take care of but if they only produce 30 of these I am sure that I will not have a problem with it. I just cant wait to have something DIFFERENT then everyone else.

Do you think that would give the paint any sort of gloss finish?

Im very much against clearbra in general, and defintely against doing the whole car. BUT...in this case... I think I would do it, you wouldn't have to worry about scratching it while washing, or letting things dry on to it. Its a pretty damn good idea. But who knows.

Good luck OP

oh and no, I don't think it would give a shiny/glossy surface if he had it wrapped in clearbra.

I saw a new Frozen Gray M3 on display at Munich Airport last week.

It was sweet to see it in person over there.
