In the same exact boat with mine. Trade in is about 22-23k and the dealership will go list it for 28-30k. I’ve sold mine 6 times last month so far after 100s of pictures and questions answered. Good luck to you man I feel your pain. |

That many people backed out? If so I am skipping this. I have better things to do than trying to save an extra grand.

Oh yeah. Literally one just backed out a couple days ago. He texted me and asked a lot of questions, finally he was like I’m buying yours let’s do it. He had shipping and funds all figured out. I honestly thought it was sold. I message him a couple days later and was like are you still interested. He was like yeah but looking at several others now. Everyone that backed out has not seen my car in person. I send pictures and videos and they want it. If they see it in person and drive it. It’s sold no question. |

I am not in the market yet, but have been watching this thread to see what happens. If I was in the market, I would head over from Dallas to check it out. I think lots of people just window shop, and it ends up resulting in wasted time. Good luck with the sale/trade in, the price is already very fair.

Sorry to thread jack your FS thread but I thought I would add my opinion as I have been looking at market lately and analyzing prices. Unfortunately 2008 model is the least desirable model in e9x M3 line combine that to the bamboo interior it has then you would be looking for far less people to buy this car. If the car was white on red, it would have sold in heartbeat at top dollar. It is a sad reality but that is how market is for this platform.
If I were you, I would trade it in the dealer you mentioned and call it a day. Time is money and you would be wasting your time getting a buyer for extra 500 or 1K that is if they show up. |

White on red? Really? I passed on a white on red when I bought this car. It is such an ugly color combo. I actually love my interior color. Anyways, my car has very low miles. My new SUV does not arrive till June 2nd. I am in no rush to sell it now and borrow my parents old Honda for two months.

Mojo, I feel your pain on the lowballers and shifty people.
I just got mine appraissed at carmax for 20k with 76,000 miles and paint imperfections. There is no reason you won't get what you are asking for. Skip the bullshit from the general populace and let a dealership buy it |

Not my favorite interior, but a "classic" color combo...so no issues there. I agree I would sell to dealer and skip the BS, car is worth right around asking to the right buyer...
Sounds like it wont hurt to hold out a little longer. Besides, it's always nice to sell to an enthusiast! |

This forum has been the absolute worst with window shoppers. You said it perfectly. Im not even lying I sell my car to 1-2 people a week from this forum. They never come see the car in person just pictures and videos. Committ to buying it and a couple days go by and they are gone. I’ve never been more frustrated selling a car. I also get hey is the car still for sale? I say yeah and they never text me back. Sorry OP just venting and giving you a free bump lol.
