First to get Michelin Pilot Sport 4S?
I just want to be the first guy on something so I'll try.
Check out the new Michelin Pilot 4S. Great looking tire and fills the wheel well nice. Not much spritited driving yet but the noise level between my Super Sports and these are a noticable difference, the 4S being quieter. How do I post pics directly from my phone? |

I'm interested to hear more about your impressions regarding this tire. Does it look any more impressive on your car in person like the guy in the video below implies or does it just look like a regular tire? Did you notice any loss of feedback at the limit in the dry?
I'm not sure of the process to post photos from your phone. I'll post a photo and video link to help you out: The UK Press Release Image: And a fitting car to use for a video review: Last edited by Theodore; 03-07-2017 at 06:40 PM.. |

Uh, it's not like "dang, that's a beautiful tire." I think the super sports looked good anyways. The Michelin logo looks different and apparently the logo is finished in "velvet" rubber? No joke, read the Michelin info. I purchased knowing Michelin makes the best tires and would not let me down with a dud, and also liked the 19% more treadlife. One last thing is the weight of the tire, wow! They are crazy light, almost scary light.

You beat me by one day, since they accidentally sent the wrong tires to my buddies shop. I'm really looking forward to seeing the benefits of these tires and I'm glad to hear you mention NVH reduction. I'll post an updates I notice as I'm coming from Mpss myself.

That doesn't mean worn PSS aren't louder than new ones. 1 dB is a lot smaller difference than 2dB, and camber wear exacerbates tire noise

Did not want to start a DB war. Just stating my opinion as a previous owner a several sets of PSS and now going to 4s. Anyways, love the tires. Feels good to be the only guy in town rolling some fresh rubber.

I drove a friend's G37S with the new PS4S and man do these tires feel nice. Super quiet and comfortable but also very stable under hard cornering and braking. I would definitely recommend them. They were brand new so still breaking in but noticeably quieter than the Super Sports and RE71R (obviously).

245/40-18 is available now. Other sizes late this year and early next according to Tirerack.

Anxious to see some tests of these against the PSS. The PSS was already an outstanding tire.
I also dig the etched sidewalls, makes them look more expensive.

M3_Socal, does your local costco offer the PS4S? I've been hitting mine up and they said they don't carry it yet. Don't see it available on costco.com either. Been holding out for Costco to start carrying them before I order a set for that $70 discount since my current tires have plenty of tread life left, hehe.

So weird.. when I enter those on costco's tire web page it doesnt turn anything up. Im looking for 275/30R19 front, 295/30R19 rear, but I would imagine if they access to some sizes, they would have access to all sizes for any particular model.
Would you perhaps be able to give me the number to the specific costco tire center you ordered from so I could speak to someone there, get the step by step process they used to order the PS4S, and subsequently teach the dudes at my local costco tire center how the order was performed? Thanks much mate! |

Been trying to order online all day but the site is having issues. Did you order online or in store?

Were you able to at least locate the PS4S on the website? All I can turn up when I search for the sizes I want, and I know the PS4S exists in those sizes, are some A/S 3+'s. I tride a by-item-number search through their tire page with the numbers provided by M3_socal, but it didn't yield any results either. :/
