Alternative to mounting front license plate
Thanks to a recommendation from FifthStreetz, I purchased a license plate bracket from www.gominigo.com. This is an alternative way to mount your front license plate rather than drilling holes in the brand new bumper of your new E92 M3!
The Customer Service people at gominigo.com were extremely helpful. The part number for this bracket is BMW62 and the cost is $55. It is extrememly easy to install and requires no drilling of the bumper. It uses the existing tow hook hole in the bumper. All the necessary hardware is included.

True, but I plan on using it just to pass NJ state inspection, which I won't need for 4 years.

I just received my Skene Design front mount. Now I just have to receive my car to show pics of how it looks. Waiting for the boat....

then i gotta agree...thats genius...it would definitely be a perfect way of showing proof for a fix it ticket...but as a daily thing i really think it looks out of place

that is very clever. i wish i did that in germany where front plate was mandatory, because now i would not have two holes in my bumper.

I don't think his hood is latched down on the passenger side all the way...

To pass a one time inspection or to pass a fix it ticket (also a one time inspection) and to pay way less than this.
1. Use the front mounting frame (large ugly plastic part) that comes with your car. 2. Put some clear packing tape on your bumper roughly aligned with the edge of the frame. 3. Adhere the frame to the bumper (protected by the packing tape) with double sided foam tape. Multiple layere may be required. 4. After the inspection promptly remove everything until required the next time. |
