Got mine! AW(fox red interior)/single scoop dash/18s
Finally, after a good long wait, my car was delivered today to my house. My car had a long journey after being delivered to the dealer on March 8th. It's basically just got the premium package with fox red interior and carbon leather.
I probably put less than 15 miles on it so far and here are just some random thoughts. I kept reading how the car doesn't feel fast and you gotta pay attention to the speedo to really know how fast you are going. I thought that was all BS having driven many sports cars that I would be able to sense my actual speed. Well, I was wrong, I couldn't tell and thought the car felt slow when the car was actually hauling. Leather is very soft. Sound system is OK, not great but livable. I don't know why my passenger floormat is all curled up but I guess I have to iron it or use the search function. ![]() I had a lot of people staring and one person taking a cell phone pic already. I took a few good pics. The last one you will get a big kick out of since I work nearby. The car will be dropped off sunday to have some work done on it and will show at Bimmerfest. ![]() Enjoy these pix. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Baby's first bath ![]() ![]() Yes, even the Designworks crew were asking me about the car. ![]() ![]() |

Nice! First one I have seen so far without ZTP or Nav. Your's is the closest to a stripper we have seen.
![]() What's the work you are having done?

Single humper
A dromedary as opposed to a camel? Looks good; enjoy!

Congrats on the new ride! But I gotta say the dashboard without the NAV screen really looks awkward!

Yeah, I notice most people are getting theirs with nav. But I'm not a fan of the factory navigation and I do a lot of 12v work and customization. This car will most likely get a carPC (car computer) with much more functionality than the factory nav can provide. Anyone with a carPC can attest to that. I wasn't sold on the looks of the 19s so I didn't opt for them, wheels will go soon!
Yes, I took it through a carwash. I watched it the whole way, they didn't do anything I wouldn't do and they are used to cars costing 3 times as much come through. I just wanted to get the crud off to at least look decent for dinner tonight. |

No EDC? How's the ride feel? Did you test drive an EDC car by chance?

Congrats on the Car.....
I cant imagine not having Nav on my E92 m3 but if you have plans like that for the car then it makes sence. Good luck with the project and post pics when that baby is moded!

Sorry I don't have an answer to the EDC questions. The car rides surprisingly smooth. I even it a rough spot on the road and it took it fine.
Finally figured out the bluetooth and programmed my homelink. The bluetooth works great. Even got voice commands to work. Paired with my Verizon Chocolate and Cingular 8125 just fine. A few other comments. The shift knob I am not fond of. I like a heavier knob. The throws are a bit long as well. The car likes to eat up corners at high speed and never feels out of control. The technology on the car is great, it feels so funny to let go of the brake on a hill and not be in gear and the car doesn't move back but this is evolution. ![]() I'm gonna go for a drive with a Zune hooked up to the auxiliary input to see how that sounds. |

Badfish, a lot (and I mean a lot) of people are curious about how the non-ZTP car compares to the ZTP equipped car. Any comments on:
Steering, and the lack of Sport setting DSC, and the lack of MDM mode Throttle, and the lack of Sport Plus setting If you haven't driven a ZTP E92 M3 to compare, maybe at least maybe give us a clue as to how the car feels overall. Does it feel tight? Maybe compare to an E46 (if you've driven one). Also, how is the non-EDC suspension in the twisties? Any noticeable body roll? I am planning to get a non-ZTP, non-EDC car myself. So I am really curious about all this. |
