It's french.

They drove without any aids.
M3 :
cons : brakes lacked "bite"
pros : great balance

C63 :
cons : poor interior ? says it does not fit the beast nature of the car
pros : huge amounts of torque

RS4 :
cons : subtle look
pros : great traction

You basically did not miss much by not understanding the french language.

is it coz of the pads, which we can replace easily, or the whole braking system? so we have to get like brembo's or something that's like $6-7k

Sorry but I don't agree too much with this translation about the "poor brakes"...
He never told "poor"...
He appreciated the brakes very much also if the car is so "heavy". He only told that some power (mordente) is missing,on the brakes. Not any mention about fading. This is my translation. I could make a mistake.

He felt the brakes lacked "bite", something that cannot really be translated into english. Poor might be a tad harsh, you're right.

OK, two very recent reports have had cause to complain about the brakes, agreed that both opinions are different but still it is cause for concern for those intending to take their cars on to the track.

I wish I could understand what he actual said as I wonder what he meant by lack of bite, was this a case of the pads being worn or once again a case of early fade kicking in.

For me who will seldom track my car I am not that concerned by for the rest of you I feel the idea of spending another 3K on decent brakes as something which would stick in my throat.

Why are brakes so shocking? No ///M has had truly track-worthy brakes. Like death and taxes, if you track the car, you do a brake upgrade. It can't be avoided.

Aren't we over the magazine/TV review stage by now for these cars? We've seen tens of reviews on each car, and they all pretty much say the same thing...

If you do a lot of track work wait for the AP Racing 6 pot. Apparently the best there is...

If you want good brakes, get the Brembo brakes from BMW 135i. If you only will be driving the streets, the standard brakes on M3 will be fine and not much of a problem.
Stop being so freaked out.

No, not really. I think they are very good and proper Brembo brakes is what the M3 should have in the first place. Not nessecary the brakes from 135i though.
