Why does stuff like this get posted to the wrong forum so often? Mistake?

For packages/options that are shared with the regular 3 series, you can just get the prices at Edmunds.com.

My dealer always gives me the wholesale price list since whenever I buy a car from them we do it as "Invoice + $----"

I wonder why people even need this? The car is list price so who cares if $1 was invoice.

Yeah, its not possible to get an M3 at this point below list correct? Or am I mistaken? The gas guzzler tax and destination charge is a piss off but my dealer wont 'work with me' on these, as they have with past cars...

Wholesale and Invoice price are not equals.

People may be interested in how much profit the BMW dealership may feel is reasonable. Well, at least reasonable until they are flooded with M3s in all flavors.

This is a new and dangerous price-point for the M3. I am not sure 100,000 people will be able to purchase a >75K car.

In my case, if I am not fully thrilled with it I can always sell and have less depreciation than the typical owner as I will be going through the MSP.

Sure it is possible.

Is it possible today? Highly unlikely, due to demand. JIO seems to be claiming he can do so, but if that's true then he has very good connections with his dealership indeed.

Really? Then I wonder which the OP has given? He said "Invoice/Wholesale" price. "Invoice" is what all the car-sites will give you. I've never seen any other price listed publically besides that and MSRP.

Less depreciation? I'll bet you may very well be able to turn a profit. I recall people doing this via ED, especially with higher demand models like the 335i when it debuted (no Ms of course).

I've bought 7 new BMW's from my dealer including 3 E46 M3's, E39 M5, and E36 M3. Every car has been invoice + $. All were below MSRP. I have a good relationship with my dealer and have dropped lots of money there, so they always give me a good deal. I'm guessing that is not the case for first-time buyers.

In the spirit of the MSP I wouldn't do this. I would drive it for a at least a few years before selling. Of course I hope to be thrilled with it and enjoy driving over the planned 10+ years. I am thankful for the program and would't jepordize its future. Lord knows there aren't that many perks to being shot at. This one needs to stick around for a long time.

Oh absolutely. Didn't mean to suggest I thought such a course of action was a good idea.

And be careful out there! We appreciate your service!
