It was my first real highway tank of gas. You're the only logical one here it seems. 230 is about right on for mixed city/highway (maybe little less) but yeah this was the first time I ever saw 300

315 miles to a tank seems not too far from what I get with highway driving only. I get about 280-290 miles after filling up the tank on highway driving only over varied terrain but not mountainous terrains. My drives are usually between oklahoma and texas, occasionally into arkansas. About 80-85mph mostly constant speed. After about 280-290 miles, it takes in anywhere between 15 to 15.5 gallons. Thats about 17-18 mpg's or so. Trip computer is a lill optimistic as with these figures it is reading out 20-21 mpg's.

So 315 between fillups over highways only does not seem to be a stretch, if say, I stay constant at 75mph. But it is soo hard to stay at tht speed ;-))

Mine's a coupe thou. Is yours a convertible?? Dunno if the added weight of the convertible causes any dent in mileage. with the top down you would expect that, especially on a highway run, as the drag goes up a significant bit in 'vert mode as opposed to coupe'

now in town... another story..... about 200-220 miles tops to a tank...depends on my mood at the stop lights

I'll take some pics at empty tank and see what the total mileage is. My mph is within a mile an hour of independent GPS readings. Should be fairly accurate.

City driving is like 200-210 BEST. And I have had more than 1 m3 and the results are the same. These cars come w/ a hole in the tank that leaks as you drive.

Got 24 mpg on trip from Scotland back down to London at 70 - 80 mph with roof rack and two bikes up top. That's 20 of your US mpg.
On way out was 26 mpg but was chucking it down with standing water everywhere so doing more like 55 mph pretty much all the way. Again with roof rack and two bikes.
28 mpg is achievable at a steady 75 -80 with no roof rack. That's UK imperial gallons which is approx 24 US mpg.

I know diff's between UK and US mpg because of how they test for the official stats. but in the real world a tankful is a tankful right?

2008 E92 just hit 60k running like a champ. Recently went to NorCal and got 380 miles to the tank. Shell gas, has never happened before most I've gotten was 310

86k and the only issues have been low freon and a faulty thermostat temp sensor (which throws limp mode).

I regret to report that my engine developed a major issue at 95k miles.

I don't know what the issue is, only that the engine runs very loud and is feasting on oil. I wish I could tell you guys what went wrong, but given the symptoms I don't want to fork out money for a diagnostic because it's almost surely not worth fixing it, unfortunately.
