Let's not hijack Tom's thread though - he'll post some more pics soon. If you want more verification feel free to PM me directly.
it's not an official vendor thread (red flag APRIL FUCKING FOOLS). one last question why are both your pics from two different threads and you aren't the op on either of them?

PM me directly with your detective work and I'll be happy to provide an explanation. As Tom created this thread to showcase his (amazing) work, I would feel rude spending a significant amount of time addressing the non-topical concerns of a single forum member.

However, if you have any technical questions about the car, then this is the proper venue.

New Jersey plates on the wrecked car and you took delivery of the F82 at a dealer where there's palm trees and California plates in the background?

The swap had been well underway well before I had even received the car. An E92 was totaled about a year ago, and I contacted Tom shortly thereafter to discuss what would be required to swap the S65 into a newer chassis. Tom was confident that it was possible, but that it would definitely require considerable fabrication work to reinforce the front subframe, as he knew he would need to cut up the rad support in the M4.

Here's the old car after getting rear ended:

Here's my new car shortly after I picked her up!

As Tom mentioned, the engine is still relatively stock, but I'm working with him to develop a single turbo setup which we will add once I rebuild the bottom end for forced induction.

And keep on the lookout for another update from Tom! The S55 out of the M4 is currently making its way into something special!

Yet the picture is from a thread almost 4 years old..... Lol.

You have to try better than that. This is just getting kind of stupid. Say April Fools and move on.

So you hung on to the engine for three months shipped it across the country when you moved and did an engine swap? You must have placed your M4 order long before you wrecked the E92. In order to get the first Yas Marina allocation in the US you must have placed the order long before your crash. So why order an M4 in California when you're still driving an M3 in NJ?

I had a low mileage S65 in my possession already. Why would I buy a new one that I don't know the history of. On top of that, shipping an engine isn't all that difficult - all you need is a crate.

I don't understand why any of that is inconceivable.

Wow. It needs two positive battery terminals.

Also like how you grafted the front end unibody from an E92 M to an F82 while making it look so stock.

:/
